  • Good evening, it had been a mixed day weather wise today, had Sun wind and rain, but did manage to prepare some timber for a new raised bed and hope to get it made up tomorrow, though will need to drill some slabs so that I can bolt them together as I am using three of them as the back of the raised bed, just heard the weather report so might not even be out the house
AP I used capillary matting as wicks for my tomatoes which were in air pots last year and it worked well. For those that get caught in bad weather tomorrow take care and keep safe. Goodnight

        • Mornings!

Mollycat decided I needed to be up early today. She didn't want to go out and still has food, just decided she'd like to wash my face at halfpast 6 Mad cat.
Damp out this morning, and it's a bit breezy, but nothing too bad so far..

          Have a good'un.

              • Mornin n'alln'all
                Similar weather here too Bren.
Managed to get the new reg plates fitted on the car yesterday and accidentally ended up in IKEA eating meatballs and chips

However...also managed to stock up on candles, buy some glass (rather than plastic) storage jars and a couple of orchids for the gites.
                All good value.

Seed sorting today. Starting to prepare for my next seed swap event in April.

See ya later peeps -almost weekend!

                  • Just when I thought it was safe to start some seeds, frost. And a hard one at that. Ah well. Bright skies today but back to well into the minuses next week. So, just as well I got the warning before the weekend, when I might have got a bit enthusiastic with all my new packets of seeds.

Work again and a bit more garden preparation. Will be trying out my new nejiri hoe today on a few weeds too.

Very windy and very wet since at least 07:00.

Nearly did a Mary Poppins getting paper.

                        • Afternoon all,

frost again last night but wet and windy today. The snow is getting washed away which doesn't disappoint me. We've had enough for a while

I had a wee tidy up session in the garage while it chucked it down out. I now have a bigger bit of floor to stand on in front of my growbench . I also managed to pot on some of my show onions. Had to lift my T5 light unit over them as well they are growing so fast.

Had 40 winks before I came on here for a looksee. Need to go out for bread so maybe the rain will go off for a while

                            • Good evening have the same as everyone else weather wise today withe heavy showers and strong winds but did manage to take the dog out for a walk, but no work in the garden, I am having a sleepover tonight as daughter and SiL are in Glasgow overnight, (VC a sleepover is when a group of young folk spend the night at one of their pals) I am hoping that the weather is a bit better tomorrow and if so I will go and collect some seaweed, and all you Grapes talking about tidying up, are you all trying to give me a complex as every time I get something cleared out I have other two things to put in it's place possibly try again tomorrow

The only reason the Young folk would want you around, rary, is to clear up after the party.
Its blustery here too and it was bin day so the road was littered with bins of all colours (just green and brown actually but that's not very exciting).
