Morning all. Hot tea on the go for anyone that wants it. Sounds like you could do with a cup, FF.
Chilly here too. Pretty hard frost on the ground, but the sky is currently clear so the sun should be able to do its job.
Not sure what the day holds in store. Paid work, that's for sure. Possibly a visit from a friend. Got to go and make a visit too to the people down the valley. Feels a bit like I'm in a Jane Austen novel sometimes, all this up and down daling, visiting people. Fortunately I can walk there and don't need to bother anyone for a carriage.
Have a good day, everyone.

Mornin n'alln'all
Hard frost here too.
First one since the snow.
It never ceases to amaze me how the spring flowers like daffs, grape hyacinths, snowdrops can survive in this sort of heavy frost. The original antifreeze.
Clever thing is nature
Book Club for me this morning and I'm all prepared
Best get a wiggle on or I'll be late!
See ya later peeps...ta muchly for the hot tea Snoop"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good morning a bit milder and damp this morning as there is a wee slever in the wind, when out at the greenhouse earlier there was a mouse in one of the traps, was expecting to get some as I had left the door slightly open the other night, but that the first for quite a while, I have one of those electronic repellant things plugged into a socket and it does seem to work hope that's all there is of them, child minding today as our daughter has an in-service day and the school is off, OH is at home doing the housework while I watch the boys, will get them up about ten then go and collect OH who can attend to the boys while I get some work done in the garden, I know some of you will think that that is a poor devision of labour but I don't mind as I have a book to read while waiting for the boys to appear, and OH can keep herself busy with the housework, some how she always gets the easy bits Just looking out the window and it looks like the wind is getting up a bit, enjoy your dayit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well! Missed you!! Can't remember the last time I popped in to say hello. Things not so good with my mum so haven't been doing much.
Very damp this morning but mild. Had a lovely weekend in Cheltenham with our daughter, such a lovely town and so walkable as it's so flat so added a few steps to my days.
Anyhoo, off to have a quick scout round...won't manage to read everything so if I've missed anyone's birthday, anniversary or anything else, wishing you all good things!sigpic

Good morning all.
A little on the dull side but its dry and a mild 10degs.
Out for a walk and some gardening in the afternoon.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Good evening it actually stayed dry so managed to get some work done, though not till about 1.30, and my friend had left a pick out for me, managed to get most of the bamboo roots out filled a council bin with the roots and then moved a small contorted hazel that was growing in a big wooden box for the past 15 years, I had to cut a third of the roots so hope it survives, but if not its unfortunate but it was in the wrong place, hopefully will get my raised bed made over the next two or three days, and with removing the roots and the tree I now have a space in the garden for more lily bulbs. Right off to make the supper then watch Shetland, enjoy the rest of the week, keep safe and happy. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Evening all,
been a bit of a stressful day bur worse for my better half. Her Mum fell this morning and we got a phone call to tell us she'd been ferried off to hospital in an ambulance. This is the day of the week we do the old folks shopping so we did that and deivered them while at the same time checking up on better half's Dad . He's 93 and blind and was in a bit of a state. We got him settled then headed to the hospital where we discovered that the fall had resulted in a broken humerus.
Very painful and will take minimum 6 weeks to heal. She was given pain relief medication while were there and although it took a while to kick in, she was comfortable by the time we left the hospital .
Whoever said heaven preserve us from growing old?
Sad news via an email this evening as well. One of the friends I have made on my travels exhibiting vegetables in National Vegetable Society competitions died after suffering a heart attack today. A really nice chap who had yet to reach retirement age.
