  • Heating off, back door open. I haven’t looked at the temp. My dogs love the freedom so why are they curled up next to me on the sofa?

Usual Friday meet-up at the pub today. Been given an unusual demitasse and saucer from a charity shop. I collect them. I never pay more than £2.50 as they are for decoration. When I looked it up online it turns out to be worth a lot more than the 50p my friends paid. I offered to pay the going rate but they turned me down.

    • I'm very sore now, back from the physio, but she thinks she has found what's wrong. I'm to stop the exercises I was doing, cos they weren't helping! and replace with different ones and....If she's right I won't need surgery - so fingers firmly crossed

      • Evening all, another lovely day here. Tried to get my rotavator going today. It did briefly run but stopped again and refused to play. I'll maybe buy a new spark plug and try again tomorrow

Taken on another plot today, which I may live to regret! Not because of the amount of work, I have omitted to tell the OH

That's good news Burnie, those holes won't be as noticeable in a few months. Take care.

Mist lifting here too Bren...looking like we're in for a wonderful sunny few days!
I love the idea and the feel of it....but it's just wrong.
I've been watching various insects flying around and it does concern me that there are so few flowers for them to feed off.
I'm deffo going to buy more helibores for them for next year. At least my Hazel tree is covered in catkins, and the daffs are just about opening....
                        Anyway...first things first...tea anyone?

Quick trip to the plots this morning, to make sure everything is secured. Then hopping on a ferry to the IoW for a week. Son will be looking after the house for us.

11° outside with blue skies and sunshine

                          • Morning all, mist still trying to lift here.
It sure is a lovely sunny time at the moment. Hubby and I might go to Brighton for the day on Tuesday if it’s still nice.
Work this afternoon, we’ve been so busy this week, hope it keeps up today. I get bored when idle.
Been out in the garden and my camellias are just flowering now and lupine are up and going. Actually quite a lot of plants are coming up again.
Well I never, a photo had appeared lol. This little one was planted back end of summer
                            Have a good day folks

                                Brave man!!!

We had a third full plot on our first site....it's very do-able.
I seem to recall that was the one which needed least attention as we allowed it to run sort of 'wild' ...Bit like VCs garden
I'd suggest going with perennials (fruit trees and bushes etc) coming up through natural 'grass'. That way you just need to cut the grass once a fortnight and pick flowers and fruit as and when.
One of the old guys on a neighbouring plot put his third plot over to fruit bushes and trees, with about 4or 5beehives...but those obviously were quite time consuming.
Bet you've already come up with a plan though!!!!!
