Afternoon all. Dry but breezy and very chilly. I had a session in the heated greenhouse restaking my large exhibition onions. Never ceases to amaze me how much growth they can have overnight. I was given a different strain of onion from a friend and these are from a frequent Nationall prize winner. Makes me look like a novice . I've only grown 15 but that's an extra 30" of bench space. I keep saying I'm not going to grow any "extras" simply because of the pressure on bench space but I can never resist. My tomatoes sown this morning

Bit of a poo day. I had a mammogram (boob squashing session) about a week ago and was recalled to be redone this morning. I didn’t think anything of it and just assumed that they hadn’t come out right or something as it’s happened before. No, new but different mammograms, followed by a scan and biopsies. They are pretty sure, but need it confirmed, that I have cancer. I’m terrified. Fortunately, if it is, they’ve caught it early.

Janie, sorry about your news, but as you say not so bad when they catch it early, and if you want a chat about it you are on a very kind forum, with people only too happy to help

Good evening managed to get out to the garden for a short time late this afternoon, had a hospital visit earlier in the day then had to pick up one of the grandsons from school as he was feeling ill, but managed to get most of my boundary boards around the grass though I still have a 2ft. section to fit in, but that requires me having to cut some tree roots so that I can fit it in hopefully tomorrow, and as there are some bushes in this area I think will use newspapers to cover the ground as I think it will be a better option than cardboard, once I am finished I will put some photos on. Well take care tomorrow and as the weather has changed again keep warm, and enjoy each day as a gift. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Teas made...homemade Irish soda bread with local honey for breakfast.
Really got to concentrate on packing today...found loads of ancient ski gear which needs to go through the wash to freshen it up. Getting really excited!
Looking forward to seeing your piccies rary. Cutting tree roots sounds like hard work!
Bit chilli this morning...at least the wind has dropped for now.
Just hearing the beginning of dawn chorus...the church bells will start in a sec
