  • Good morning all.
The sun is shining but it's still very breezy,
Might sow some more seeds today.
All depends on the breeze as I dont like being I the greenhouse if the breeze is too strong.
Have a good all and stay safe.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Very blowy here today. New work regime on hold, as there's no change of sowing seeds (nowhere indoors to do it), as they'll all blow away.

So, pootling the web this morning, but feeling a bit more like it's legitimate than stealing time from work.

Hope you're all having a great day.

      • Had the letter this morning with the date for my surgery. 25th March. I feel as if my whole life is on hold.

Anyway, it’s cold, windy and draughty. Looks lovely and sunny but not so nice out in it, and I need to go and fix the gate at the bottom of the garden. It was half term last week and there are 2 little tearaways who think it’s funny to take the gate off and let my dogs out. They don’t have to pay the bill when I have to pick them up from the kennels.

        Another cup of tea first.

        • Hiya (Trying to be upbeat as weather here makes me wanna be like this > )

Anyway had a trying couple of days with one thing or another, mutt isn't great at the moment so me an him are playing hooky again and are getting all cosy on the couch together. I've let a lot of things slide, like house cleaning, laundry and other such kinda important life things but hey ho, they will still be here when he is not.

Janie - feel for you, kids just don't think ahead to consequences unfortunately. It's also awful having to wait patiently for things to come and pass. x

          • Evening all.

Today, I was in engineering mode. A couple of years ago I rescued the frame and rotors of an old Merrytiller suburban rotavator which someone had thrown into a skip on our allotment site. I've been on the lookout for an engine for it and the other week one fell into my lap. Engine mounted today and it's running fine. I just need to source a drive belt for it now. It's not that I need a rotavator, I already have a merrytiller, a howard bantam, a howard 300 and a mantis. I just hate to see things which can be sorted with minimum effort junked. Don't know what that makes me but whatever it is, I'm it

            • Finally managed to get out to the greenhouse for a wee while, so I potted on some tomatoes and peppers, along with several geraniums and begonias, but now back in the house, I was expecting my car back today but have now been told it will be Friday before its ready, I hope it early Friday as I struggle to get in and out of the courtesy car I have just now, well I hope the weather is a bit better tomorrow, though not sure what the forecast is as I missed the TV forecast, whatever it is be thankful, remember it could be a lot worse. Goodnight

                • Pleasant but very windy day, fuddled around in the greenhouse, I have Radish growing in there, so crop to look forward too hopefully and managed a decent walk on the flat, I'm getting there slowly.

And hope you start to feel better soon, FF.
And AP, you're the kind of person that will keep this world going a bit longer, unlike the person who chucked it out.

As for here, it's windy again. If I can't sow seeds, I'd better do some work rather than go shopping on Amazon as a displacement activity. Spent plenty yesterday!

                      Have a jolly day, everyone.

Grey and drizzly again this morning, temp still same as overnight 7C pfft!
Bit fed up with it now, 'cos it looks like another indoors day.
My usual diversionary tactic is cake baking, but that's not a good habit with only me to eat them So easy to put the lbs on and so difficult to lose them again.

I'll just have to start the spring cleaning

                        Have a good'un

We may need AP to make us all Mad Max-style machines for survival - if the end of the world as we know it happens on 29th March

The sun is shining inbetween the showers and it's still breezy.
The weather just cant make up its mind.
Off to the hairdressers shortly so that will take care of next few hours.
Hopefully it will be a bit better this afternoon.

Janie B sorry to hear you are unwell .
