      • Mornings!
We're weather sharing Gl and Ns
More pottering when it warms up a bit, hope my back settles soon as I've got shallots in modules and peas in mushroom boxes ready for planting out, not to mention potato pots to be filled, and I'm getting impatient to start...
        Have a good'un

        • Mornin n'alln'all
Bit of a late start for me after being woken at stupido'clock.fr by Hibou playing with a dead mouse.
Looks like we're in for a nice day weatherwise too.
Need to start to deliver flyers and posters for our seedswap then guests coming this evening for a Thai curry.

          See ya later peeps

All the best for today Janie

          • Good morning all.
Wall to wall sunshine here as well.
Potatoes will definitely be planted today.
Weather looking good for the next few days so enjoy.

            • Afternoon, all. Busy morning getting a notary to give us a refund on a fee we weren't due to pay. All sorted.

Bright here now. No frost this morning. Chitted tatties starting to look like they could do with being in the ground. Usually do it around 5 April, so they've got a little while longer to go yet.

Have a good afternoon, everyone. Hope everything goes well today, Janie.

              • Good afternoon, bright spells with a cold wind today, was at the nurse at nine this morning for her to take a blood sample, also got my blood pressure checked and now have to go back in a couple of weeks for her to test it again after that got the dog and went for a walk, took her down to my house where we had half an hour playing football, she has a five inch hard plastic ball which she can't bite but she rolls it all over the place, and enjoys when I kick it away, then some time in the garden and now having lunch before going for the boys
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                  • Evening all. Have I missed a day? If I have I've no idea where it went. Old age eh? Anyway, I know that yesterday I fitted my super duper home made fan shaped trellis to the wall and her ladyship loves it . Today, I tied a horrible telephone cable which comes down the front of the house to the centre "spoke" of the trellis which has disguised most of it and gently tried to persuade the new shoots on a clematis I cut back savagely at the back end of the year to the bottom. I used electrical tie wraps loosely around the stems and I think that will do the trick.

Today I've also planted 70 or so Marshall's Red Fen onion sets in plant packs to give them a flying start. They are heat treated so hopefully no problems with them bolting.

Tomorrows problem will be sorting out the fungus gnats in the seed trays on my heated bench. I really hate the little blighters.

Early start....Hibou needed to go out. Thing is, she'll no doubt be demanding to come back in in a sec vis we have a very heavy frost.
Darn...yet again my fantastic mirabelle blossom will be completely destroyed. The magnolia overnight has gone brown....and its not even proper daylight yet.
Always sad to lose plants etc to frost innit?
More seed swap preps for me today and domestics. Don't know why, but it feels like weekend ....how strange!

Your fan shaped trellis sounds great AP
OH has done something similar with the satellite cables using the wisteria. And every year but one since he's managed to cut through the cable when pruning, even though I remind him before he starts and he constantly reminds himself during the process
                        So!.... be careful!

                        Right...time for a brew...
