Mornin n'alln'all
2C here...had to defrost the windscreen before going to feed the cats.
A job I normally hate doing.
Thing is...OH's car has a heated windscreen so all I had to do was sit inside and press the defrost button and the other for heating the seat!
(Feels like it must have felt when peeps had running water for the first time!...just turn the tap-no need to lug it in a bucket all the way from the well!)
Ah...the luxuries we take for granted these days eh?
Mrs mop day for me today even though it looks lovely outside today. Will at least try and deadhead some daffs at least
Have a great day peeps....see ya later..."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

A day to have the roof down on the car. Worked perfectly when I went home this morning to check for post (I’m staying with my daughter), only the sun roof part opened when I took my granddaughter to Boots. I’ve got a load of gardening stuff in the boot and it’s lifted the back shelf, so it stops the roof from working.
I don’t like doing it but have had no choice this year because of circumstances and have used weed killer on the garden. I’ve avoided anything with flowers as it seems to be full of bees and butterflies. The sound of buzzing is wonderful. The main butterfly seems to be the small blue."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Mornin Flon'all
Heavy frost here too this morning.
Off to do cats soon so need to prepare for pressing the defrost and seat warming buttons
Got friends arriving today for the weekend...going to be a houseful!...really looking forward to spending time with them
Might not be popping in here much though...sorry.
Daffs nearly gone -more deadheading is in order, but the garden is looking lovely with all the blossom.
I'm not sure how unobservant I've been in the past but both my Japanese maples are covered in dangly red blossom looking like miniature bunches of cherries.
Is that usual? I've had them for years but never noticed that before. Maybe they are about to die????
Right, best crack on , cats to feed!
See ya later peeps, enjoy your day.Last edited by Nicos; 12-04-2019, 06:54 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Managed my first gentle climb into the hills in Glen Esk yesterday since my operation, just testing how fit I am not, blowing like one of my beloved steam engines was I lol.
Still some snow up there and not too many summer migrants yet.
I stopped to watch some Curlews and Lapwings displaying, such a glorious sight and sound, spotted this Grouse hiding in the Heather too.

Mornings!
Cold grey morning here again boohoo! I've taken Tommies out to the greenhouse - but didn't want to risk the peppers.
My pc's spent ages and ages - downloading then preparing to install updates, installing said updates, then restarting and then configuring them..... why does it take so long? Perhaps this should have been in the rant thread? Oh well
First job for today is juggling and listing the contents of the 2 freezers - hopefully freeing up some space...
Have a good'un

Burnie, I know. Came home yesterday and weedkilled the garden. I left my daughters this morning feeling back to normal. I’m not. I went to the pub for my usual Friday. Not a good idea. I should have believed the hospital advice. Now parked on the sofa contemplating takeaway as i’m not safe with a cooker.
The weeds are going black so something is right."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Evening all. Although it was a bit dreich this morning I managed around 6 hours at the plot. Had to wear a jacket though as it was a bit chilly. Forked over another few beds ready for planting. Called into Lidls hoping to buy a solar powered gizmo for scaring away pests to match one I bought the other day. None left ......Growllll.
