  • Mornings!
Another mild night and a glorious, sunny morning, took my cuppa out first thing to check on everything as usual and have only just come back in a day

Must strim the lawn today before it qualifies as a meadow only the first step before mowing, but at least it would be a start, There's so much to do on the allotment, at this time of year - that I tend to let the garden slide.....................

Have a good'un and enjoy the sun

    • Good morning all.
Another lovely morni g though it's a little hazy.
Lots more to do in the garden today and then looking after my grandson late afternoon.
      Have a good day all.

      • Mornin n'alln'all
        Late start for me.
No frost this morning, think we have a warm spell ahead so I'm going to have to risk potting on the geraniums and putting them outside .
I too hope to get a long list of 'things to do in the garden' completed today.
See ya later peeps... enjoy your day!

        • Good afternoon, an other nice day though a bit slower for the clouds to clear this morning, all the slabs are in place and now have a gate to fix, putting more plants out to harden off but none getting planted yet as the chance of frost is still there need to start making up my baskets now and give some thought abou where I will be hanging them to harden off as I won't be lifting them in and out, right I need to go as OH is putting out the tea and I am starving
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

              • Morning, everyone.

Very chilly here, cloudy and drizzly rain. Not the best weather for gardening, by any means, but not enough rainfall to make a difference.

Might as well get some paid work done, I suppose.

Have a good day, everyone. Hope you manage to get problem sorted, Nicos.

                • Good morning all.
A dull start to the day with rain on the way.
I think I may tackle the ironing this morning and get that out of the way.
Off out for dinner with our friends tonight to make travel plans for our upcoming holiday.

                  • Dull and chilly here too.
Two more days until our holiday and boy, time is going very slowly. Bet it flies by once we’re out there.
My friend up the road is the designated waterer, post getter etc. So got everything covered I think.
                    Have a lovely day folks

Miserable weather here as well, but we do need some rain. Indoors jobs first, to see if it warms up a bit - then I've some sowing to do... and a new book to read.

                          • Enjoy your trip Nicos from me too. I'm desperately trying to catch up with 2 months of housework. Now I know I'm a bit of a slob about doing it but I'm more untidy than mucky and the house has definitely slipped to lower than my low standard. The pills make me feel totally exhausted. Walking into town, which is only about a quarter of a mile, I need to stop and rest at least twice so the housework is being attacked in batches of energy. I just couldn't live in the squalor any longer. I want to finish the worst of the mucking out so that I won't feel so guilty about doing the garden.

I hate asking for help but I've posted on our local FB page for someone to walk my dogs.

On Wednesday a parcel was delivered into my garden. It's a case of wine in a cardboard crate. It isn't meant for me but for someone else in the town with a similar address. I've both emailed and rung the company who sold it and it's still sitting there. Had I been fit enough I would have put it in my car and delivered it myself but I can't lift it so I can't even get it in out of the garden. It has rained several times today. Fortunately just light misty stuff but if we had a real downpour the cardboard will just be a soggy mess.

                            • Good afternoon again a fine day here and the, greenhouse staying at 10c overnight so happy about that, I note that the ash tree at the back of the garden has some leaves showing so sorely tempted to plant out the flower garden, so might try some of my begonias and petunias out, also will plant out some of my leeks. Need to go my son s home early and I can get home
