Evening all
Car came up with a warning triangle yesterday....a major warning
Limited driving only. Yikes... not good for a trip to the north of the uk for 10 days!

10 hrs later and we are home...with a fixed car.
The relief is absolutely massive
"Can we rent a car from you?"... "nope the uk has left the EU "...what???.... "do you know something we don't?".... what a flippin stressful day

Meanwhile, high clouds here. No rain but blocking the solar panels' view of the sun.

Bit of gardening about to happen and after that, no idea. Hope it's something nice.

Busy Saturday... got lots of planting out to do as well as preparing for our trip.
Looks like it's going to rain soon too.
I can see me having to plant out in the rain

Chook is looking fine today...we were half expecting to have to 'do' her before leaving.
Always worth making an effort eh?

Might not be able to pop in much for the next 10 days so enjoy your work and play,but most importantly look after yourselves ...and remember to 'do a rary'.... i.e. pass on a smile

Good morning peeps, as predicted the rain arrived last night, think it has stopped now though but it’s breezy! First weekend we have been home for ages so I’d better make use of the time and get the ironing board out! Have a great day everyone.

Janie, why not put a bin bag over the box to save you having a mushy mess in your garden! And if you want someone to pick up the wine, I’m free!!

Well we needed the rain, but I'm getting bored now and have lots to do outside, weather forecast says the sun might appear around or 8 or 9 o'clock tonight!! I doubt it as it will be nearly dark by then. Glad I got my new roof on before this lot arrived, might have to go fishing instead, tough job but I'm the man to do it lol...……………....have a nice weekend.

Most of seedlings and plants finally planted out.
We had intended to do them all yesterday but the poorly car put paid to that.
So....now a quick something to eat and then start packing!

Took cuppa out into the garden first thing, and I've been out there most of the day - sitting in the greenhouse with my book, each time the sun went in It's been just lovely pottering about.
In now to put the tea on lol

My son actually turned up this afternoon. He gave me 10 mins warning. Amazing how much clearing up you can do in 10 mins. He also gave me advice about my cherry tree which confirmed my own assessment, and told me what I was doing wrong with my kitchen TV. He was only here for a few minutes and I don’t trust him to turn up as promised tomorrow but it was nice to see him.
