Good evening, I have had a busy weekend but managed to get to a GC where I picked three new fuchsia to try and when I got to the till OH said she would pay for them as it would do as a birthday present I added that had known that I would have picked more so was told to go and get them, but ever the gentleman I declined the offer, I now have a frame up to hold my baskets so that I can harden them off so they will be out tomorrow, right of to watch my midsummer murders enjoy your week. Goodnight

Really cold night again last night. Visited our newest neighbours yesterday afternoon. He's started a small veg patch. Has already lost most of it to frost once. Don't suppose his tender veg will have enjoyed last night either. No reason for me to feel smug though: I haven't got anything in the ground due to sheer unpreparedness.
But I'm getting there. Had a jolly couple of hours yesterday planning my much reduced plot. I can get a surprising amount in. But I'll miss no home-grown onions, carrots or caulis. But there you go. Can't have everything. One thing, though, there may be some volunteer potatoes come up down in the fields. I had a rueful look down on them this morning and spotted some surprisingly bright green patches where I had potatoes last year but abandoned them due to lack of water. Might go and have a look later. Goodness only knows how they've survived.
Anyway, that's for later. Off to do some more weeding now. Have a great day everyone.

Mornings!
Mild last night and this morning, but no sun Very grey and heavy showers forecast for next few hours. It'll save me watering after all the transplanting yesterday. Plenty of space in the small greenhouse now and only the dahlias left to put in, which will clear the floor in the big greenhouse.
Have a good'un

Yes F.F. it was good to watch, some very good acting and few big names, now that its finished I might do away with sky as there is nothing else worth watching on it

Good morning.
Sun is shining and after the grocery shopping I will be out in the garden.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning
We have proper grey drizzly weather today, just had a quick wander round the garden, beetroots are growing well as are the early carrots, one lot sporadic in their germination, may over sow later in the week with more of the same variety. Mammoth onions and leeks are growing nicely, they seem to like the weather, tatties are going well too, red duke of yorks have flower buds on them!!
