More planting out later if it stops raining and I could do with a swim at lunchtime too.
It's a bank holiday weekend here...Monday is Pentecost.

Morning all, we have sun today but tbh I'm really tired at the moment and I don't think I'll be taking advantage of it too much. Typical!!

Me and mutt might just potter around the tunnel for a bit (which really means I'll just sit out there with a cuppa, lol), it's only an ebay green type tunnel in the middle of a housing scheme but it's a nice relaxing place to be and it's easy to pretend you are somewhere else when you are in there.

Nicos, I would quite like a few days in and around the area you describe, it sounds like you could do some happy wandering there.

Anyway, as ever, hope you all have a good one. x

Cloudy with a few light passing showers and a bit of a breeze. Hopefully the promised prolong rain will arrive soon...the ground is very dry and nèds a good soaking

Plenty of wet stuff here if you'd like some. Already filled all the water butts including the 200 litre one that I was given earlier this week - and it's 3rd in a line! So wet I haven't even opened the GHs yet.
Don't think I'll be doing much gardening today.

Nicos sent the wind here, and yes the heating has turned itself on.
I don't 'do' 17C indoors in the winter so really don't want it in the summer

It only reached 12C here this lunchtime
The wind is still howling away outside and the old house's timbers are creaking away.
It'd make a good sound track for a horror movie!!!!

Loads of branches strewn along the roads -It'll be interesting to see what daylight brings.
Just got my fingers crossed the old tree at the front doesn't drop a large branch onto our cars

The heating has just gone off-mine's also been on all day.

At least I got my ironing done

Morning all I'll say about yesterdays weather is that my water butts are full. The garden was really ready for a good soaking so this morning everything looks like and fresh

Much calmer here now!....not quite gone but it's much calmer
Loads of debris but no obvious damage anywhere ..so far!
We have a really heavy park bench in the field which got blown over!
It's times like this I'm relieved ai don't have a greenhouse after all

We got about 2 hours of steady rain around 9pm and that was it...a little bit of blue this morning but mainly grey

Mornings!
Got a few showers whizzing through, but the main problem is still the wind. Frightened to open the greenhouse windows n doors more than a crack in case they get damaged
Mollycat took one look at the weather and went back upstairs to bed I'm off out to get some milk and the paper, shouldn't think I'll get blown away
More decorating for me today, I think.
