Morning,

Will be going down to the allotment later this afternoon to water my plants in the greenhouse. Wanted to get rest of my plants out today but it's raining. Will try and get them out tomorrow, says in my weather app it going to be dry tomorrow. So going to do the house work instead today.

Looks like I'll be able to get some more gardening done today

I'm just listening to a blackbird singing its little heart out. So lovely to hear. I wish I could differentiate between more than a handful of bird songs.

Think We'll be having lettuce tonight -they've doubled in size over the past 3days

Morning all. The weather forecast for our area (which is usually fairly accurate) says we will have a solid week of grey skies and rain. I'm beginning to think there's not a lot of point carrying on planting things out that need sun and warmth simply because the growing season will be so short. Some summer!

Mutt was up sick during the night so I'm tired and trying hard not to be irritable today but somehow I think that's going to be a given.

I'm smiling at those who can hear beautiful bird song, we have seagulls. Millions of them. They start squawking at first light. I wish them no harm but I do wish they would b*gger off somewhere else.

Havnt been on as we have been on holiday.
Sitting in Southampton airport waiting for a flight home.
We were off the cruise liner from the Norweigen fjords at 8.30 and our flight is not until 3.0'clock so a long wait ahead of us.
However it's a lovely sunny morning so all is good.

Evening!
Forecasts are not good for the next few days, so thought as it wasn't actually raining - I'd better get stuff done on the plot while I could, so made an early start.
It was cool, grey and a bit breezy but ok while I was working, not nice enough to sit out there though.
Blimming snugs have snaffled all my carefully grown French beans, luckily they left the runners alone...
Have reseeded the Frenchies and sprinkled blue pellets of doom , that'll teach 'em what for!

Good evening all.
Got home eventually.
Flight was delayed by 30 mins so it was almost five when we landed in Dublin.
Cant believe how much my garden has changed in less than two weeks, nature is wonderful.
Looking forward to spending tomorrow just pottering.

Good evening, have been a bit busy the last two or three days so not been on that often but hopefully things should be a bit slower now, was out late last night at a party to celibate my doughters...... th birthday, not for telling what one it is as it would surprise VC how young/old I really am. Before church this morning I riddled some garden compost and mixed it with soil and purchased compost and filled a large pot with the mix then planted a cucumber into it and have now placed it on a high shelf to allow the plant to trail down, have never tried growing them like that so will be interesting to see how it goes, after church we headed to one of the gardens that in the open garden scheme and it was a pleasure to walk round it, once back home I started painting my fence, I have now painted two sections just sixteen to go (I don't like painting) my legs are now a bit sore so with all the bending I had to do, a wee bit of rain would be fine tomorrow, but don't tell my OH I thought that. Well enjoy your week and pass on a smile. Goodnight

Just as well I suppose cos I've loads of ironing to catch up on.
Book club tomorrow, last one before the summer break, so we bring a buffet lunch.
The lady hosting has a wonderful garden and potager, so fingers crossed it's dry tomorrow so we can be outside and enjoy it.
Bank holiday here today
I'll send some of our plushy stuff up to you rary!
