Snoop I am surprised that you have a tan, my lasting memory of rural Spain when walking through it was of all the old women dressed from head to toe with only their hands and face showing and their faces were usually shaded with a large brimmed hat

Oh dear, Rary. You've just shown your age... Not been like that for a very long time. The only women who go around like that now are the ones driving about with a muck-spreader attached to their tractor.

        • Afternoon.
The sun came out after lunch so got to the plot and planted some more pumpkins and squashes - plus the only surviving Tromba. Fingers crossed the snugs leave it alone!
I've got mince cooking with some HG garlic and Oregano, for stuffing into peppers, smells delish

          • What a day! Yesterday I had a bone density scan at the hospital (20 miles away and no direct bus from here). I was a half hour early, was seen immediately, and was in and out in 15 mins.

Today I took a friend for 2 appointments, 1st at 10am, 2nd at 11am. The 2nd appointment was dependent on the results of the 1st. She broke her humerus right at the top where it joins the scapula and couldn't be put in a cast. It didn't help that she refused to go to hospital for a week after it happened.

We were 30 mins early as the road from our town is notorious for being blocked by accidents or roadworks. We waited an hour for the 1st appointment and had to go and ask what the hold up was. They'd forgotten to call her. Anyway, the result of those two appointments resulted in 3 more. Instead of being in the hospital for 2 hours, we were there for 6. She's being operated on on Friday.

I had a delivery of plug plants just before I left this morning. The poor little things were left open on the side in the kitchen all day drying out. I didn't expect to be so long. My poor dogs were stuck in the house as well.

Am now, having dealt with dogs and plants, chilling with a G'nT.

We have the OVO Womens Race coming through our town tomorrow. Myself and the dogs will be out there cheering them on.

                    • ^^^Not liking the rain Flo just the cheery good morning!

Morning folks, well a bit of a change weather wise this morning. Not as sunny although it's bright but there is a slight breeze and it feels considerably cooler too.

Paid for a package to be delivered next day i.e. yesterday. No sign of it. Emailed the company at 7 minutes past 9 last night and got a reply at 14 minutes past 9 with a full refund of postage...that's customer service. Unfortunately the package is coming today and I'll be out most of it, hopefully son will be around.

Hope you all have a great day.

Just been watching an adult woodpecker and her 2 newly fledged chicks . Funny watching the chicks hanging off the peanut feeder, trying to balance and peck at the same time!
Domestics for me today....might go for a cycle ride later if the rain holds off.
                        See ya later peeps!

                        • Mornings, went to Amsterdam for the day yesterday with hubby.
I am a zombie today. 28500 steps, enough said. I will just be at work to make up the number today.
I ate like I was never on a diet, so will pay the price I daresay
Gardens are all good, the lily bush has taken a right battering in the winds and is now shored up.
Time to split this magnificent plant.
                          Have a lovely day guys

                          • Good morning,

Grey clouds here. OH and i both in docs this morning and then going to the plot for a bit. Still got lots of plants that need planting out. Hope to get most the plants out today and weed.

First I need my brew before going anywhere. Have a good day

                            • Morning all.

Rary, I need no encouragement from anyone else, as it was you wot started it (see message 2056 on page 257).

As for here, perishing cold night. Hope my melon, squash and bean seeds don't rot in the ground as a result. Not far off a frost, I'd say. But all bright and sunny today. Off out in a bit to do some weeding. Then back on with the paid work.

                              Have a good day, everyone.

                                Lots to do indoors .
Forecast looks better for the afternoon.
                                Have a good day all.
