  • Mornings!
Grey skies this morning but still feels quite warm, threw the quilt of last night, so must have been warm all night.
Just sowed some courgettes, squash, corn and climbing beans for my neighbour, who's just had a hip op - seems a shame to grow nothing for a whole year.
    Now for my 2nd cuppa

    Have a good'un

          • Good evening all..
Got to spend a bit of time in the greenhouse this afternoon.
            Planted out some bedding dahlias.
Potted on some late sown Romaro peppers.
Took some side shoots from my tomatoes.
            Watered and fed everything.
Did a bit of tidying trying to free up some much needed space.
Back indoors now as it has got really cold.
            Have a good evening all.

Ah but that was because you showed that you were familiar with what I was on about

              • Guess who ended up at the seaside today??....yup!...meeeee
OH suddenly had an afternoon free so we nipped up to the coast.
A lovely fishing village . Bought some monkfish directly from the fishermen too.
Although it rained on the way there and back the coast was actually fairly sunny. Warm enough to sit out and watch the fishing boats.
                Such a lovely change!

                  • My dog almost destroyed the crops that I just planted. Now, I need to fix it and also set up a boundary so that he won't dare to go and dig at the backyard. I hope that the old petsafe e-fence still works.

                    • ^Dogs... know the feeling. Worse still, I'm afraid, is when they eat or destroy the crops just when they're ready to harvest. I speak from sad and repeated experience. Mr Snoop has taken pity on me this year and now I've got a fence up. Good luck.

Meanwhile, very bright and sunny here. Off out in a bit to finish off the climbing bean frame and get beans sown. Feeling a bit late but the nights are still perishing cold here. Apart from a ridiculously hot spell two weeks or so ago, it's really cool for this time of year (hope those aren't famous last words).

Keeping the paid work at bay. Surprising how long people are prepared to wait despite telling me it's oh so very urgent. I even bought another book today to join the other two I got last week. There's an investment in pleasure and leisure time.

So, have a great day, everyone.

Staying dark here...I swear it's getting darker by the minute. No doubt more sploshy stuff about do drop.
                        Flippin cold too.
                        Heating is on.
                        If I didn't know any better I would think it's March/April.
One more week and the nights will start drawing in
The outdoor swimming pool is supposed to open next week...I can't see that happening. Pah

Need to crack on with domestics. I have a friend coming to stay soon and that room is basically a store room with a bed somewhere under a pike of boxes
                        See ya later peeps!

                          • Mornings!
I got caught on the allotment in a torrential storm yesterday afternoon and got soaked through, so was hoping for a nicer day today. Woke up to yet more rain, oh dear, Mollycat doesn't like it either

I made a big batch of pastry before bed, to make Cornish pasties for the football boys, so need to finish those this morning. Hopefully it won't be pouring when I take them 'up the hill' to my daughter's.

                            Have a good'un

Another dull grey wet morning here.
Certainly s mood changer when looking out at the grey skies,
Out to the library, the post office and the florist this morning.
Hoping for a better afternoon but not holding my breath.
Enjoy the day especially if you are lucky enough to have some sunshine.
