  • I'm popping in as well
Wondered why there was a lot of grass growing around the roses, it's because there's a mat of couch grass roots that have come through from next door *grumble grumble* Have dug some of it out but daren't go too close to the rose roots til winter. I gave everything a good water to settle the plants back in again. At least now I know what I need to do - it'll be a big job though
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.

    • Good evening all.
      What a beautiful day.
Spent the afternoon pottering in the garden.
Family didnt visit so we had time to ourselves.
      Still sitting in the sun.
Still no rain so watering cans are being overworked.
      Have a lovely evening all.

      • Cut my lawn and added another six layers to my bricked in doorway. I can only do six courses at a time as it becomes unstable with more, even though they are keyed in.

Good weather forecast for tomorrow so I think a spot of fishing is called for.

        • Good evening, it has been a lovely warm sunny day today, out early this morning and watered my flower baskets and also my peas, everything else looked ok then off to church and after that spent the day in the garden, carried out some painting then weeding though must admit to little breaks in between also made up a rack to dry off my onions so will lift them tomorrow, our son dropped in with the boy's and we had a game of hide something and they had to find it and while doing that I noticed they were looking at the rope that was still hanging after removing part of my chimney so once they were away and of course with a couple of ice lollies I removed the rope and also decided to remove the rest of the chimney that was still sticking above the greenhouse roof and of course I got caught up the ladder by the OH but by the time she had caught me I had finished so I let her think that I was obeying her when she told me to come down, so now I have the chimney below the roof level and the glass replaced in the greenhouse and OH thinking I listened to her so quite happy with what I have done today, enjoy your week and enjoy your gardening. Goodnight

              • Mornings!
On my second cuppa, I'm in no rush to start work outside as it's grey and cool - a cardi on kind of day.
Probably get some domestics done, then if there's any energy left - continue with bedroom decorating It'll get finished one day

                Have a good'un

                • Afternoon, all. Well that's the time here, anyway. Hope you're enjoying the rest of your morning.

Busy morning so far and am ready for a lie-down. Stayed up till goodness knows what hour updating my computer (we have a strict data allowance but it's 'free' between 1 and 6 am). Got to do Office shortly too. What a pain. Anyway, I should be grateful: the computer is still going.

Catch you later, guys. Have a good one meanwhile.

                  • Well, the fishing went well. Caught a nice fat Rainbow trout for our brekkie, after losing FIVE fish earlier.

Because I didn't want grief off 'her indoors' I washed the dishes, hoovered the floors and washed and hung out the washing before I left.: A nice rainbow trout fillet for each of us was very welcome.

God knows how I would have fared if I had blanked!

                          • Morning everyone. Bright outside but nice and cool indoors. It was a very chilly night, so the house has really benefited.

Not much to report. Had a quick once around the veg patch this morning. Mr Snoop helped me water. Have decided to abandon one of my long beds for this year and just let the squash scramble over it. Already losing trailing ends to trampling feet (not mine...). All looking pretty good. Best pepper plants I've ever grown. Let's hope they're not all lovely leaves and no fruit.

On with the show. Bit of work today and then probably start tidying the kitchen.

                            Have a good one, everyone.

A very dull and humid morning here, a definite change in the weather.
Off out to walk in the park.
                              Some gardening later.
                              Have a good day all.

                              • Afternoon all!
Last physio today, all down to me from now on.... I'm much better than when I started, so it was worth going

Garden pottering this afternoon as it's so nice and sunny. Nicos, I only do decorating on rainy days, so all that's happened so far, is 3 coats of emulsion on the ceiling. Spare bedroom is stuffed to the gills with furniture to make room to work in mine - so not ideal. Both the garden and I could do with a few rainy days now
Enjoy the rest of the day!
