Morning all.

Yes, Nicos, big birthday weekend starting this evening. Those of us in the village who reach their 60th birthday this year are having a big do. Party to get everything ready tonight, the actual party tomorrow, followed by party on Sunday to tidy everything up. Wish me luck...

Right, about a million things to do before this evening. So better get on the case. Have a good one, everyone.

Sun just beginning to break through the gloom here, so should warm up a bit - felt decidedly cool first thing. Off up the hill to pick up my usual prescription, then some gardening methinks....

Evening all.

Home today after being away all week. Before going off I made wicks from capillary matting, covered them in polythene sunk one end in my tomato pots and the other in buckets of water. Never tried it before but it worked. Phew

Feeling a bit the worse for wear. But didn't drink very much or indeed eat very much last night. Sore throat, itchy ears, blocked nose... What a weekend to have a cold.

Darn snoop...double darn...firstly you're not feeling too well (hope you recover in time....and secondly , you accidentally gave your age away!

Going to have our first quail eggs at lunchtime....two each. Apparently 4= 1 chook egg.
So, 2quail eggs each.
Might even stretch to a tiny piece of toast

Diet is going well, so I don't want to jinx it

Off outside now to do some deadheading...

Warm and muggy, but cloudy - weird weather.
Got lots to do indoors and out, but don't feel like doing any of it tbh. Have managed to spend all morning in the greenhouse, drinking tea and coffee and reading the paper and doing what I can in the puzzle supplement
I wish I could find my get up and go, but think it really has gone for good this time. Ho hum!
