Sad end to the day here. I've just heard that my immediate plot neighbour has died from a heart attack and another friend on the site was hospitalised on Monday with a heart problem. My neighbour who has died has been suffering poor health for a number of years and I have honestly feared for him when he was very obviously doing more than he was fit to do. At least he hasn't languished bedridden for a long time. That would have been awful for him.

Good morning all.
Day trip out today with our friends.
A cruise on a barge down the canal.
Some lunch.
A bit of sightseeing.
Evening g meal rounded of with a few drinks.
Hope all have a good day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I think he's one of the rare ones who never gets man flu.
Having read Pens weather warnings I checked out our wind speeds for the next couple of days and we are in for gusts of over 70km/hr.
So...we/I today need to take down a canvas shelter and parasols, garden chairs etc in preparation.

Good evening had a nice day today started with the church coffee morning then we went to a GC and had lunch and once back home as the sun was out I did a bit of weeding then cut the grass after that I did a bit of tidying up and while working around the garden the perfume from the lilies was very pleasant to experience and no midges now wondering what will come tomorrow as the forecast is for strong winds and heavy rain, I just hope the weather for asters are wrong as usual. Well whatever the weather have a good day tomorrow and pass on a smile. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good night all.
Yes, we had a lovely day and the weather behaved perfectly.
Home now and it's raining as forecast.
At least I wont have to water the garden tomorrow.

Morning all. Absolutely persisting down. Dogs didn’t stay out very long. No gardening today. I’m going out for my usual Friday lunchtime drinkies with friends. A bit of domestic drudgery and carrying on with a bit of diy.
Was having a good week until yesterday pm. Had my discharge appointment from the hospital on Tuesday, all good news. Appointment with dr yesterday, more good news. Unless I fall under a bus i’m expected to live at least another 10 years.
Had a letter from financial ombudsman re my PPI claims, another £1555 heading my way. That makes £2031 so far and the letter indicates that there’s more to come.
Then a phone call from my youngest, which ended my euphoria. An ex of his has been spreading untrue gossip and involved me in it. He wasn’t going to listen to me so i’ve had to block his calls.
It will all blow over eventually, it always does. But in the meantime......."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)
"It is neccessary to have wished for death in order to know how good it is to live" (also Alexandre Dumas)
