  • Had a day Salmon fishing yesterday, so there's a few jobs in the garden to catch up with today, you wouldn't think one day would make such a difference.

    • Morning all. Haven't even opened the blinds yet but it seems to be very bright out although from the kitchen window it looks as though there has been some precipitation overnight.

Haven't planned anything for today, I might even have a day of relative inactivity although I find being lazy difficult.

      • Good morning all.
It's a dull start for us with a shower on the way.
I must go into town this morning and hopefully the weather will be better in the afternoon.
        Have a good day all,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • well my equivalent of a duvet day didn't last, and I went out on my hands and knees and weeded a flower bed at the back of the house. Came back in, sat down and fell asleep typing this. Must be m age .

              • Morning all . A day of reflection for me today. My sole remaining Aunt died yesterday aged 84. Was living in an eventide home but only for the last three months or so. She hadn't been coping at home and at first she seemed to enjoy life in the home but went downhill rapidly. Collapsed in her bathroom yesterday and later died only 10 miles away on the way to hospital in an ambulance.

We had gone to see her on Sunday and although she had lost her sparkle, we didn't expect what happened yesterday. RIP auntie Nellie

                • Sad news AP - RIP Auntie Nellie.

Lovely bright morning after a chilly night, only 8C in the g/house.
Off tothe plot in a mo, pick some veg for the weekend and a bit of tidying up.
Got letter this morning saying plot rents have gone up by £2 a perch, so guess everyone will be moaning for a few days although I still think it's worth it. Wonder if anyone will give up because of it?

                  Have a good'un

                        • Afternoon, all. Bright and windy here today. Mr Snoop currently outside trying to fix the hosepipe so that I can bring up more water from the well this evening. The hosepipe needs to reach a bit further for all the autumn and winter brassicas about to go in. Plus a repair is required after last week's mud bath.

Had a good morning getting more beds ready, so I'll put the plants out this evening when it's a bit cooler. Always enjoy gardening. Makes the world feel better. Mr Snoop might not agree, as he always gets the horrid jobs, and it isn't even his hobby.

Have a good rest of the day, guys.

Now this is more worrying to me as I am hoping that once I am older I will be able to do what I want and not just fall asleep when ever I sit down

                              • Good afternoon has stayed dry today and now heating up, though I see that Thelma's overnight temperature was 8c while here it was15c isn't the weather funny (funny peculiar not funny ha ha) as I thought it would be the oposit way round, just having a lazy day today as we don't have to watch any of the grandchildren, spent a bit of time watering and feeding my baskets and garden I am quite sure some of the neighbours will be thinking I am mad watering after all the rain we have had, but you need to water at the roots as watering at the top the water is just shed off by the foliage, well I think I will get back out to the garden as the sun is out and OH is talking about getting something done in the house so need to move
