  • Morning all, beautiful start to the day again
GGs Birthday celebrations went well, lovely family day was had out in the garden
Her hair just looked dark, until she caught the sunlight, then it’s a reddish mauvish Belisha beacon.
She’s happy, that’s all that matters
    Lots of Birthdays around ah?
Today will just be chilling in our own garden and maybe a bit of washing.
    Have a fantastic day folks

      • Good morning all.
It's a beautiful sunny start to the day.
Off out for lunch with my two friends shortly.
        Gardening this evening.
        Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.

If I can summon the energy the grass needs a trim or there's always domestics - we'll see

          Have a good'un

            • Good Morning All Another hot one. Managed to get a lot of apples cooked and in the freezer and picked a nice one for a passing pregnant young woman to satisfy her craving! Have a good day

              • Mornin n'alln'all

Just off to town to buy a few things we need.
Managed to persuade OH to come with me with the temptation of a couple of fresh croissants from one of the best bakeries around. You know...the original type of flakey croissants which drop flakes as you tear it open with the buttery scented soft, silky , stretchy dough in the centre. Mmmmmmm!!!
( and nope...I shalln't be having one...blinking diet....but they are most probably one of the contributing factors over the years as to why I need to be dieting!)

We had heavy rain in the night, so at least no watering is needed today
Might try and fit in a swim later-depends on if I can get the * ( insert the dreaded 'I' word) done first...cos there will be a whole pile more to do tomorrow

Enjoy your day..and the weather the best you can folks
                See ya later!

We are visiting our daughter in the Lakes next month and she has a glut so no doubt we'll be coming home with a couple of large boxes. Mmm...the car will smell nice!

                  • I love the smell of cooking apples. Reminds me of going to my grannies for Sunday lunch and she'd always make my favourite apple sponge pudding with suet and thick custard. Just a whiff of cooking apples takes me back to my childhood

                    • Nice reminiscences, Nicos. And that was a good deed, Flo.

Rained here in the night. Sounded hard but amounted to all of 6 litres/mm per square metre. Mind you, scary videos of floods and tornadoes from Madrid and 200 km further north from us. So at least we didn't get that. Have picked a few melons and squash at risk of cracking. Plus a couple of peppers dragging on the ground.

Not much other news. A lot of work ahead today. So better crack on with that. No ironing for me. Although amazingly, Mr Snoop volunteered to iron for me if ever I needed anything doing. Plus he's currently doing the washing up.

Right, have a good day everyone. Catch you later.

                      • Good morning all.
Some domestics and then need to run some errands.
Off to walk in the park later.
The totally terrific tomato festival is on in our Botsnic Gardens all this week.
I will probably go to that today just to look at all the different varieties.

Hot hot hot through the night, kept waking up in a puddle of sweat Sheets in the wash m/c and bed airing as we speak.
It doesn't feel quite so hot this morning, as forecast - which is a relief.

Managed to get a quick swim in but boy was it crowded
I went an hour later than usual and it was a mistake.

                              • Thanks Nicos, good evening, a nice day today but the temperature is dropping quite a bit now, walked up to my daughters this morning to get the boys out to school then took the dog a walk and took her home to our house where I carried out some gardening, I removed some cabbage which were by their best loosened up the soil with a hoe covered it with cardboard and newspapers then covered that with grass clippings to which I will be adding vegitive kitchen waste over the next 2 or 3 months and hopefully by the spring it will be ready to plant through, and once I was finished with tha t I walked the dog to her house then walked back home and once back home I had to sit with my leg up as my right knee was extremely sore, I just hope there is no damage to my joint and a bit of rest will see it OK, well whatever will be will be, enjoy the rest of the week especially if you have good weather. Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
