    • So pleased to hear your good news Snadger.

      Good night all.
Busy day looking after grandson but loved it.
Not a lot done but managed to pick blackberries and collect tomatoes from the greenhouse.

      As a matter of interest.
The Totally Terrific Tomto Festival that was held in the Botanic Gardens in Dublin last week got into the Guinness book of records. They had 261 varieties of tomatoes displayed under one roof.
I do believe the record previously was 241.
Glad to have been there to see it.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Just come inside from sitting outside next to the firepit.
12C out there, but OH made sure I was wrapped up well.
Clear sky, shooting stars, nostalgic music, fairy lights and warm, flickering fire pit. Lovely.
Still feeling very under the weather but mentally uplifted.

Glad your OH is back home again Snadge -I'm sure with your love and support she'll be back on her feet again soon xx

              • Good morning, a bit breezy this morning which is helping to keep big black clouds moving, at my daughter's just now to get the boy's out to school, and though it is dry just now I don't think it will last so depends how it goes which will determine what I do today, OH wants to get upstairs tidied up, I told her no one goes upstairs so shut the doors and it is fine but she won't accept that, so it will be we can get rid of this and that, which is fine but the we means me and this and the hat is usually mine
Glad to see your OH is home Snadger, I am quite sure home is the best place for recovery, they sometimes hassle us to do what they want but I don't know what I would do without my OH.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                • Good news, Snadger. Best wishes to you both.
Impressive number of toms, bramble. Must have been quite an event.
And Rary, is that a post you wouldn't mind your OH reading at last?

As for here, could do with hours more sleep. Stayed up far too late with friends last night and am suffering for it this morning. Got a job to do and will then head back to bed for an early nap.

Catch you later. Have a good one meanwhile.

                  • Mornings!
Up early this morning for yet more plot inspections at 8am. Pouring with rain, so got soaked. 2 plots will get non-cultivation letters, and one tenant has returned their keys (maybe cos the rent has gone up?) So not too bad.....

Catching up now with a late breakfast, I made some seedy bread yesterday, so if anyone wants toast, they can help themselves.....
Then I think it's a housework day ( Did I hear someone say "about time to"?)

                    Have a good'un

Sunshine and a bit of a breeze,
Bit of a mixed bag for me.
Lots of small jobs need doing.
Having my nails done this afternoon.
                      Have a good day all.

                          • Hi there Jay.
Good to see you again, but very sad to hear your news. Hopefully it's been caught in good time to sort it out?
That must have been one heck of a shock.
But I am glad that you feel at home with us...we're deffo here for support, a shoulder or just a distraction.

My distraction for today is that I thought I'd make a few simple Xmas tree decorations. Can I find my sewing needles?....nope.
Can I find my white thread?.... nope.
I have just wasted over an hour trying to find them. They will be in the last place I look won't they?

Well...that was my spare time for today used up, so back to doing 'stuff' again.

Nicos, just stop and think for a minute or so,,,,,,,, where would your OH hide his money???? Think on that and that's where you will find your needles and thread, well and that's where I would hide it if I had money:rolleyes, after all the safest place to hide money from a wife is in the sewing box
