Mornin n'alln'all
Last day in the Lake District
And yup...heavy rain here.
Just about to have breakfast. We brought over some of our quail eggs to share and our friends went mushroom picking yesterday and brought us a huuuuge bowlful of sheeps fresh mushrooms. Mmmm! Going to be a lovely brunch!
Thelma -that cake looks absolutely fantastic!....you have a wonderful skill there -well done!...and urm yes.....some of us are more than capable of messing up a simple sponge cake!
This morning we were woken by a couple of chickens pecking at the bedroom window (ground floor!) Not sure if they were drinking the raindrops, picking off flies/spiders, or just demanding a breakfast treat. Needless to say they have had their treat!
Best get a wiggle on...enjoy your day peeps."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good morning all.
Lots of rain overnight but dry and breezy now.
Off to mass shortly and going to chill out for the day.
Enjoy, whatever you're doing.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Oh Lottie, you have such a lot on your plate.
Like Thelma says, look after yourself first otherwise you wont be able to care for anybody.

Good evening, it has been a reasonably dry day today a couple of light showers but nothing to shelter from, after church this morning we drove along the coast and had a coffee at a GC then heading back it was interesting to see there was hardly a ripple in the sea, I have some photos which I may post sometime once back home I spent some time in the garden doing a bit of weeding and tidying up, then I made the tea, roasting beetroot, carrots, kohlrabi and trombo along with onion and garlic all from the garden, so had earned some brownie points for that, until OH spotted a wee spot of beetroot juice on my shirt, guess who's in the badbooks now no matter she will forget about it tomorrow when I do something else that gets her disapprovalit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Morning all. Hope you had a good night's kip, LD, ready to tackle the day. And good luck, Burnie.
Very chilly start to the day but due to get much warmer. Plants don't know what to make of it, as we're back up into the 30s. Absurd. Get up in the morning and you can believe frosts are coming in a couple of weeks. By midday it feels like summer again.
Busy day ahead. First off, washing-up. Then watering. Then work. Feel a bit like you, NS, though: could just go right back to bed. But can't, so better just get on with it.
Have a good one, everyone.

Nice to see family, but really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed in a couple of days!
