I was watching a green woodpecker earlier...pecking away at insects/ants in our lawn. It was much bigger than I recalled but I suppose it's because it was so close!
Harbingers of rain apparently ...you can say that again!
Still loads of sploshy stuff going on here.

Builders arrived early this morning. Putting down metal mesh and rods this morning and then a big delivery of concrete will arrive so they can pour the floor. All looking very positive.

Me, I'm hard at it, slaving at the keyboard today. But should be a reasonable day even so. Hope to get my shallots in today.

Woke at 6 this morning, but my PC had the loading thing going round and round in circles, spose it was updating and then had to do a full sign on just now...
Cold and drizzly this morning, so domestics for me today.

We're off to get the flooring tomorrow. It's a funny system. You buy a membership card and once you get 1,000 points you get 10% off everything you buy on one day...then the points start adding up again.
So it commits you to buying things before you really need them. So...( turn away now rary) it's going to be an expensive event! (* faints)
We really don't get offers on anything here like there are in the UK.... count your blessings peeps!
Today I shall mostly be measuring up and list making...then clearing a space to store 'stuff'.
Oh...and shopping- can I give you my list Burnie?

Garage and rainwater collection tank being built to one side of the house, plus one of the barns (attached to the house) will be reroofed. Mr Snoop is hoping to make progress on the interior this winter. Then next year we'll finish off the structural building work. Hallelujah. But then, we'll start arguing for real as we discuss what's going to happen to the kitchen...

Nothing garden related done today got in a very long walk.

Evening all, a pleasant day was had up here in the frozen north(actually the frost had gone by day break, but it was minus 2 in the greenhouse overnight). Went for a wander around the Montrose basin, seems the BBC and the Autumn watch team are about filming the geese, they didn't find me hiding.

Bright blue here. Not such a cold night as I expected, but a very heavy dew on the ground everywhere.

Mr Snoop off into town this morning for assorted errands. Me, I'm stuck to the keyboard today. With a bit more weeding if I can fit it in.

Went to bed at 11.15 woke up at 7.45 - great night's sleep, for a change
It was 8C overnight and the same now, and calm - so not too bad for the trip the library this morning, plus I need a few things in Wilko. Of course I'll have a look in the gardening bit, unless it all tinselled over already!
