Blowing a hooley here and persisting down, gutters are overflowing and the path is flooded again

I've just finished the cream-cheese frosting for the birthday cake, and will pop the flowers on at the last moment, just in case the colours run into the frosting (so not a good look!) Good job the cake is only going a few yards down the terrace, or it might get blown away
A cuppa now, and then clean the kitchen - it looks like a bomb's gone off in there

Morning, nice day here today after yesterday’s miserable rain! Not sure what’s happening today will decide later...there is the housework but I’m thinking something nicer instead!

I've been sewing Xmas decorations whilst OH watched the rugby. From the sounds emanating from the room it didn't sound like it was going well for England

Arter noon. Thankyou Rary for the welcome back. I haven't really gone anywhere. I promised to make a roombox (diarama) for the 80th anniversary of the start of WWII. Starting with conscription. Next year will be evacuation. etc. If anyone thinks you can research everything on the internet they're wrong. I found the most informative resource in my daughters FIL.

Now I'm up against a deadline of 11am next Thursday and Prince has eaten the right arm 1 1/12 scale dolls arm mould. It takes about 3 days to make the moulds and there was only just enough compound to make a whole doll in the first place. I don't have the time to get more. To add insult to injury what's left is full of dust and dog hair. My friend said there's nothing wrong with hairy arms on a bloke. At that scale they'll look like Yetis!

I'll post piccies if I ever finish it.

The fireworks have started so I'm wearing 2 dogs. I know this is going to happen every year and I deal with it. At least I no longer have the neighbour from hell who thought it was great fun to set off loud fireworks every night for 2 weeks just to upset the neighbours pets.

Evening its been wet and windy here all day, seems to have stopped in the last hour just in time for the fireworks, I've had a ringside view out of my bedroom windows. D

VC you might know it as a flat cap up here they are known as scones just to diffarentuate from a Kilmarnock bonnet or a Tam o` shanter or even a Balmoral
