Me too. (That's my third me too moment in about five minutes!) I've given up keeping them, but I did think last year that I might just bite the bullet and get new ones every year.

Good afternoon, it has been a busy morning as I got a gone call at 9 this morning to let me know how that there was a smashed window in the church hall, once checked out it would appear that the glass was struck by a firework rocket, have now fitted a temporary cover over the window but will need to see about getting it replaced, no rain today but feels cold and damp, just going to go out and brush up some leaves, hopefully this will be competing to an end over it he next day or so as most of it he leaves are off the trees now, and I will move my baskets of geranium n to get he garage to give them some protection, it gives you a good feeling when you start them off again in the spring, especially when you can have so many new plants from cuttingsLast edited by rary; 06-11-2019, 01:22 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

The last part of the previous post was just to annoy Nicos and Snoop, the baskets will be put into the garage and if they survive till next year fine if not they will be binned and I will buy new onesLast edited by rary; 06-11-2019, 01:28 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

As I said I just put them still in their baskets or pots into the garage to protect them from frost, l keep the watering to a minimum but don't let them dry out and avoid letting water touch the stems, i.e. if pots, water from the bottom if in baskets add water away from the plant stems, it doesn't always work as it can be quite cold and damp here but worth a try for you and Snoop, and of course as you no doubt would know, if I stayed where you or Snoop reside I wouldn't need to buy any plantsit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I'm telling you, Rary, gardening is a difficult business here. Too hot, too cold, torrential floods, drought, plagues of locusts...Last edited by Snoop Puss; 06-11-2019, 06:57 PM.

Evening all,
been very cold here today but I was stuck inside this morning repairing a leak in the water supply to the toilet cistern. Still leaking after the first try but another try with some ptfe tape added to the mix did the trick. Problem originally caused by a fibre washer which had disintegrated.

Evening all! Said policeman style
Plot inspections this morning, all went ok - and birthday cake decorating this afternoon. My grandson came after school to collect his x box cake and he's 6ft tall now How did that happen so quickly?
cake
Why does clicking on the close x for the bottom advert, open the advert rather than close it? Grumble grumble! gets a lot of clicks for the ad I suppose
Soooo annoying.

Morning all. Though it seems a bit daft saying that as it's pitch black here. Thought I'd get a quick one in especially to say hello to FF and to leave a breakfast tray for her. Big hug, FF. I always feel for you, being up so early.
Great cake, by the way, TS.
Catch you later, guys. Have a good one meanwhile.

Mornin n'alln'all
Well...if it's any consolation we too have cold, wet sploshy stuff. Woke me up a couple of times during the night with it bouncing off the velux window.
Funnily enough, that always reminds me of summer holidays in our caravan when I was a nipper
I'm off to town to go shopping this morning. The parcel I waited in for all day yesterday didn't arrive so I couldn't head off as planned. Fortunately OH is working from home today so I'm not needed.
The majority of shops here are closed for at least an hour between 12 and 2 (some even 2.30) which is a right pain ..it's too long to hang around so you need to set off early morning or wait until the afternoon which always seems more of a waste if a day.
Don't need much but it's a gallon of petrol round trip so I need to do as much as possible to make it worthwhile.
First things first though...a cuppa..."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

Mornings,
Lots of rain through the night and the sky is still full of it
After howling at me and the door while I was getting dressed, Mollycat took one look outside and decided she didn't really want to go out after all. Walked off tail in the air as if all that racket had nothing to do with her Cats eh?
Domestics for me today - kitchen floor is still sticky in places
Have a good'un
