  • Good morning all.
    A lovely sunny day here.
Have a good one whatever you're doing.

      • Good evening, darkness coming in quite quickly today as there is a lot of cloud cover tonight, started off with a frost covering the car windscreen which quickly cleared, well at least it was gone by the time we went out, we went for lunch then to buy bird feeding once back home OH started complaining that she was cold so now sitting with the central heating on along with an electric fire on the go, so I am finding it rather warm while OH is shivering, I have told her to go to bed, but I think she has said no because she would miss that dancing program on TV, something I would consider a gain just been informed by my DiL that there is a bug doing the rounds which is causing folks to be feeling sick for about 24hrs. and I have just been informed that it will only be me for tea tonight, so off to find a can opener

        • Evening all, had a nice crisp morning to get the turf in, cleaned out and set the fire, took the tractor down to the bog to get rid of all my weeds. Tidy up the back yard, then off to get my hair cut.

          • Just made my tea and instead of opening a can, I pulled some veg and had a stir fry though I had to microwave a large beetroot for about 15 minutes before frying but it was worth doing as it was very nice to eat.

            • Evening!
Hope yor Mrs improves quickly rary...and you manage to avoid catching it.
Apart from eating supper in front of the TV I spent all day in the kitchen!
Did a pile of handwashing....made double quantities of lemon curd...pickled 120 quail eggs...made a pavlova....then finished off making the steak and kidney pie for supper.
It took me nearly 1.5 hrs to peel all those hard boiled eggs!...fiddly or what?!
Early night for me....hopefully we'll have a dryer day tomorrow -the sun only lasted a couple of hours this morning, then it went dark and stayed that way all day. Even the chooks went to bed 3hrs earlier than usual!

                Porridge me thinks this morning!
                Anyone doing anything exciting today?
I seem to have lots of young hollyhock plants growing in one part of the garden, so I might just pot them up and give some away.
I'm more in the mood for sitting in front of the fire tbh!

                • Mornings!

More rain overnight and only 6C now, garden is sodden, so maybe a greenhouse potter for me today. SAD has set in early this year so must remember to take my vit D tablets from now on.

Yesterday I started an %xm&s shopping list trying to sort out who's coming when and what to feed them over the hodilays
Stir up Sunday is on the 24th November so will need another Trashco delivery before then.....

                  Have a good'un.

                  • Morning all, seems we had a bit of frost early this morning I think about 5am, grass still white but melting fast. Lucky I closed the window and door on my poly tunnel. I’ve lost about 1/2 my winter spuds due to one nights frost I missed closing the door. Don’t want to loose the rest.

                        • Morning all.

Grey, cold and windy this morning. A bit of rain overnight - more would be good.

Busyish day today (or at least, it ought to be, I'm on a bit of a slow start so far). Lads coming to cut more firewood for me tomorrow, so feel it's OK to put the range on. Just as well, as I feel I might be coming down with another cold.

Have a good one everyone, whatever you're up to. Hope you have a lovely pre-day-off, FF.

                          • Good afternoon, didn't manage to church this morning as I was up from 4 being sick, beginning to feel a bit better, possibly the fact that I have been taking garlic and honey has saved me, though I won't be telling OH, she was moaning yesterday about being able to smell garlic from me, I just said I don't know why and left it at that I will now just have a lazy day, though it looks lovely outside, enjoy 6our day
