Evening all, went to friends for dinner, it’s been a terrible evening of rain, no let up at all.

Thanks Nicos and bramble and yes feeling a bit better, though also feel a bit tired, was sitting watching the birds feeding earlier when I noticed something bright red moving on the back veg bed, stood up to see what it was and a pheasant was moving through the leeks which wasn't a great worry but I also have some Chinese cabbage there which I am sure it was eating it will need to be careful as some of that bed is for christmas dinner though it had great colours in its plumage, apart from that we have rain now, just hope it's not on for the week, but if its windy I might try and get some seaweed, enjoy your week hope everyone 8s safe from all the flooding Goodnight

Proper late on parade today, been over in Perth at my daughters for the better halfs birthday, driving back late it is trying to snow brrrrrrrr. Good night all.

Far too early to be awake -but Hibou is bouncing around demanding to go out.
Think I'll make a brew.
There's a bit of a break in the clouds- and it looks like it's a full moon out there. If not full, can't be far off! First time I've seen the moon in ages cos it's rained most nights recently!
Its a bank holiday here today.I'd forgotten - and planned to go and buy a few things to take back to the family in the UK later this week.
Oh well...better think about packing instead then!

Good morning, quite blustery here and it has been heavy rain all night, though not flooding heavy thankfully, feeling a lot better and have just had an 8hr sleep now going to make some porridge, enjoy your day and keep safe

Ten to ten here and a totally rubbish start to the day. That's all I've got to say about it. Whinging won't make it better. And, as Lolie's post shows, there's a lot worse going on elsewhere.

So, now I've got that off my chest, glad you're feeling better, Rary.

Busy day ahead with as much work as I can get through. Weather's cold, grey and miserable, so not much I want to do except stay indoors. Did a bit of weeding earlier, but it's not very pleasant out.

Mornings!
A painful night for me, my legs were cramping so I was up drinking tea at 3am Went back for another couple of hours but just dozing and then waking up again, 'til now.
So a short walk to stretch my legs, hopefully I'll make it as far as the paper shop, then just some pottering for me. Might make a start on some xmas crafting...

Morning all, porridge has been eaten, unsalted with honey in the Sassenach manner lol, fire lit, boy it is cold. We had rain over night, but it seems it has landed as snow inland, not much planned today and extremely unlikely to involve any gardening of any kind, keep safe all.

Huh - took the day off to plant bulbs in my tubs and garlic and onions in troughs. Finished up cleaning and cooking because of the rain

Did finish reading The Glittering Hour and I'd recommend it if you like poignant love stories. Not usually my thing but I enjoyed it

Afternoon it's rained here most of the day. It stopped briefly so I nipped out for a walk, only got a bit wet

Rant - there's only quite a small space between the top adverts and the lower ones when viewing 'unread posts' so when I clicked on the top unread post - it opened the latest *expletive deleted* bottom ad.
It means I have to remember to scroll up to move the top post away from the bottom ad before I can read the post, rather than an ad that I must have already clicked unintentionally at least a couple of dozen times. I wonder if GYO gets paid per click, that would explain the stupidity of the page layout, wouldn't it?
I may just take a break from the forum for a while.... so you know why, if I do
