Afternoon all, I had an early start this morning with my grandson, we left at 9 for his training and it was just 1’C, everywhere white with frost. Home now, daughter picked up grandson. Afternoon planned watching rugby, son just texted saying him and my granddaughter will probably call in. Been out to the poly tunnel and it looks like my Christmas spuds are not gong to happen. Frost got them a few weeks ago and they don’t seem to be recovering even though I close the poly tunnel at night and open it in the morning.

Good evening all
We had a cooler day today but still had a nice walk and no rain.
Heading into our last week of the holidays now.
Have a good evening g all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

That bottle of red will be cherryade for Lottie - not for me though! Cheers.
I went on the trail of the yellow stickers this afternoon and met one of my fellow sticker hunters - one of the ones I try to hide from.
He came over, caught my hand and said "I've been good".
"Good?" says I
"Yes, last time you saw me you told me to be good, so I have!".
Didn't realise I had that effect on people!
Fortunately, he was off to watch the Chr****as lights being turned on in the village so he didn't linger.
Then I met an elderly lady (maybe rary's age?) in the cut flower department. She waved a bunch of roses at me, told me they were lovely and the garden needed flowers at this time of year, it was so bare. I had to agree. We had a long one-sided discussion as she told me about the things she'd told her grandson about bulbs sleeping in the garden overwinter and jumping out of the ground to greet the spring. (Summat like that!).
She also held my hand, which was very cold after delving in the freezer cabinet - her's was so warm. "Cold hands, warm heart" she said and I didn't like to explain it was the frozen food effect in my case.
Her son arrived then and I was able to make my escape.
Bought lots of packets of cooked meats - ham, beef, pork reduced to 10p each. The dogs are happy.
Hope everyone is as happy as they are, despite the miserable weather. Soon be spring, I've already seen some bulbs poking through the soil. Not long..........

Evening all, a bit of a mixed bag of a day, only hit a sweaty4 degrees all day, but we had a nice drive up into the hills and watched some Red Kites flying around, photos were poor though, too far away and the light wasn't good. Got up to the car park and went for a nice walk along the side of the loch, but turned back when we could see the snow coming in.

Good evening, it had been a cold but dry sunny day today after church I spent the day in the garden, I decides dead to remove all the foliage from the crocosmia and lilies I normally leave this till early spring but decided to do it now, if it's still dry Tom I will get some bulbs planted, I hope you have a good week and pass on a smile, remember it costs nothing but can be as valuable as gold. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Morning, FF. Morning, all.
Cloudy and grey here. We're forecast a high of 8 ºC today thanks to the clouds.
Friend up the valley ensconced for a few days. Dogs haven't realised he's in residence yet. Two humans to three dogs doesn't compute as far as they're concerned, so they're always glad to see him. He's got a friend staying, so that will be even better as far as they're concerned.
Right, on with the busy-busy show. Have a good one everyone. Thanks for the smile, Rary. Always appreciate those. Here's a big hug back for everyone.
