Rary, please reassure your OH, it doesn't take long and is painless. The rewards are well worth it. I had mine done about 12 years ago and no longer need specs, apart from for reading.
Trouble is, she'll be able to see all the dust where you haven't cleaned up properly.

Rary, tell your missus that it’s a doddle, I had mine done about 4 years ago but I got varifocal lens and I don’t need glasses at all now, driving, tv, reading, computer all glass free.

Sorry to say bl...dy miserable weather on our return.
First inspection of the garden and the dahlias are still in bloom.
Battered and tattered but they are still,hanging in there.
Too dark to do any more inspecting.

Very late today, another ten minutes and it's tomorrow here.

Had quite a productive day today. Plus a farmer came round and said he'd help me sort out the field that I usually cultivate but which hasn't been in use for the last two years due to lack of rain. We've had a bit this autumn and more due, so I'm hoping it'll be back in cultivation next year. Even Mr Snoop has started to complain about the cost of vegetables. I picked a cauli this evening and he said that's a good two euros fifty's worth. And he was right. Oh, and said farmer has a flock of sheep. So I'm hoping a delivery of muck might be on the cards too.
