Mornings!
Back to grey and damp - the clear skies didn't last long, forecast was for another sunny day - but I don't think the weather read the script
I'm off for a walk in a bit, via the Co op for paper and my bun I think my assumption that going the longer way round to get them, helps burn off the w/e buns, is incorrect - but it's something I've always done in the winter This and the coming celebrations always leads to an early Spring diet....
Have a good'un

Late good morning from me.
Weather is like Thelma said.
We were to have cold and frosty, instead we have grey and damp.
Off to mass shortly and then family visiting.
Have a good day all,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Just came back from a long frosty walk in the country with my 11 year old husky.
He never seems to tire and nearly had me on my backside a few times on the frosty backroads.
Lovely sunny morning but with long johns on and a fleecy top I was really sweated up when I got home.
On a completely different note I really do think that to save the planet we need to cut down on meat production and the amount we eat.
I know quite a few people on the forum are veggies but I am an out and out carnivore I am sorry to say.
I love my Sunday roast so to offset this I am thinking about every Saturday trying to stick to a veggie diet. I know its not much, but its a start. My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

I used to be a real carnivore - loved meat in all forms but, for lots of different reasons that all made sense to me at the time, I haven't eaten meat for 30 years and I don't miss it at all. I'm not a true veggie as I still eat fish a few times a week. I'll never be vegan for as long as I keep chooks and eat their eggs.
If you want to eat meat, that's OK with me, I still cook it for others and the dogs, but I don't want to eat iti myself. Try cutting down the amount of meat you eat at a meal - so there's less meat and more veg and try to buy organically reared meat that's kinder to the animals and the planet.

Afternoon, not much done outdoors just getting herbs and veg for dinner, have made a start on my Cards though.
I don't eat meat every day but when I do my plates mostly veggies with just a small amount of meat I think for me its the smell of meat I love rather than the taste. Roast lamb is my favouriteLocation....East Midlands.

Good evening, a very cold day again greenhouse at -6c overnight but was away up at +2c for a bit, no gardening again, but spent a bit of time sorting out a fine mesh plate as a feeder for the birds they seem to feed at that rather than the conventional bird feeder, and they are easier for me to fill so worth the effort, enjoy your week and keep safe and warm remember to pass on a a smileit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Evening, all.
Late show today. Been one of those days when I've hardly done any of my own stuff. But catching up now. Been quite nice, weatherwise. Temps dropping and 7 cm of rain forecast for this week, some perhaps landing as snow. We'll see. Lots of visitors supposedly coming Thursday night/Friday morning. Hope they can make it through the mud.
Have a nice lie-in, FF.
Catch you all tomorrow.

Evening all, been on wee monkey, I mean minding grandsons duty in Perth, house is flippin' freezing but the fires lit. Took them to see the Adams Family movie, proper boring, the 5 year old gave it a "Strictly vote" of 4, not sure I rated it as high as that, is it meant to be funny because no one in the cinema laughed, not once.

Meant to say earlier, when at church this morning the temperature was a bit lower than normal, apparently the thermostat is set at 11c from about midnight till 6 then up to 19c and yet the temp only reached 15/16c though compared to outside it was warmit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
