Then, we realise when the decorator last painted the ceiling, he somehow sealed the smoke alarm to ceiling! So we had to kind of smash it to get it off! Now we need new one, but at least its stopped beeping!

Not content with a dodgy back and kidney problems I have now either broken or sprained my foot. Hobbling around being a carer for OH who is disabled, we must look like a pair of old crocks.
I need to get fixed up as I have gardening to do.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Went to Woodcote Garden Centre, Wallington yesterday for orchid compost.

Fancied a coffee but they were using paper cups, no China in sight in cafe! Why?! Unlike a station nobody is going to wander off with crockery.

^Better than if they say different things.

My rant: it's warm outside but perishing indoors. I'm going to have to light the range, but it seems ridiculous.

              Me again. Oh dear!

Rant: Trying to renew my Microsoft Office subscription but just going round and round in circles. Not sure if it's because I'm in Spain but use Office in English. Whatever the reason, it's very frustrating. Can't pay them for love nor money.

Software companies that grossly overcharge. No wonder Bill Gates is so rich!

Try Libre Office, it does it all for free. It does ask for donations. It's recommended by lot of computer magazines and seems compatible with Office.

I live on a hill and even cyclists exceed 20mph! The only vehicle that complies is the dustcart when it's emptying bins!

My rant continued, not really a reply to Danny, honest mods...

Phoned the Microsoft number in the end. After lots of toing and froing, it turns out that because I bought a version of Office years ago in the UK, I'm registered as a UK customer and so can't renew a Spanish edition in Spain using a Spanish credit card. Bizarre.

The rant part is this: to resolve the problem, they had to cancel my previous subscription and give me a new one. But, the leftover weeks of my previous subscription were thus lost and I didn't benefit from the free month offered on renewals either.

I would use the free alternatives to Office, but have to standardise with other users so am stuck with Office, unfortunately.

                      !
I've just had a quick read of product comparison and as an openoffice user looks like I've been missing a trick. Libre apparently has more development resource and as I have a few annoying bugs in openoffice, Libreoffice download is underway, thanks Danny.

Weather forecast predicted 4 degrees overnight, so i took the cloches off my Spring greens for the first time. Woke up to one of the heaviest frosts of the year, greens are severely crumpled - hope they bounce back!

Aaaarrrggghhhhh! Little rant about hubby's choice of tv again. He's watching the most annoying naturalist on earth again, who has been "rescuing " capturing animals to make them breed. If I was the last woman on earth I'm damn sure I wouldn't give a damn about the survival of the Human race. Why should animals be any different??? I think I'll go and wash up.

So. Massive leak under my kitchen floor from the heating system. It’s been a week now and still no heat. My patio has been dug up in a vain attempt to find the leak, proceeding to dig up my kitchen floor.

Now I need a tiler and a plumber and someone to fix the patio And I am having to source discontinued tiles, the alternative being to re-tile almost my whole ground floor. The skirting boards have been removed and I had to rescue them from the garden. So I suppose I need a joiner as well to put those back. And after all that I think I need to paint as well. I don’t want to moan but I’m getting pretty major shoulder surgery in just over a fortnight.
Ok maybe I do want to moan just a bit.
