My rant...but not as exciting as ML's...

Part of our landing ceiling has collapsed due to the roof leaking. We've been putting off pulling it all down cos it's going to be a massive job and really messy.

Plus, our septic tank needs its inspection hatch replacing as it started to leak odours.

*wonders what the third big job is going to be?

Along with something eating my dahlia tubers I was stupid enough to leave several trays of seedings in the GH last night just headless stalks today!! Grrrrr

S*****g Amazon. Ordered a wifi extender for £50. Got email about 10:00 saying it would be delivered today. Clicked on tracking link. This says it can be delivered anytime up to 21:00 and it's been out for delivery since 08:50. That's all it's said all day!

When I had £20 sack of bird seed via DPD they gave a slot and updated driver's position constantly.

What a contrast in service!

Tracking notes now state "Delivered 8:19pm". No ring or knock on door, no card. Went outside and checked all round front door and side gate about 21:00 and 04:00, nothing.
Waited for daylight at about 07:30 and spotted package half on garden path within couple of feet of front gate. Lucky we are on a quiet road. Am going to send them a strong complaint.https://www.flickr.com/photos/103667.../shares/7Wn4o5

Lardman I sympathise. I've only just got rid of the scab on my heel from when i ripped it open at Christmas.

My rant. I live in a rural town where the buses are very frequent but don't go to where our services are. I drive friends who don't drive to their appointments. Today I drove a friend to a medical assessment. I know from past experience we cannot be late as there are no acceptable excuses. So we were very early. They didn't see her until 1 hr 10 mins late. So we sat in a waiting room looking at what appeared to be framed pieces of wallpaper in this beautiful weather wanting to be out in the garden. The assessor was ready to call an ambulance. What a waste of a lovely day.

There's more but the saving grace was sitting outside a country pub in February in the evening having a glass of wine and not having to wear a coat.

Ouch lardman!! I’m wincing for you!! Organising friends hen do have a WhatsApp group half the people she invited haven’t responded a quarter have complained about everything or asked repeatedly when it is despite it being written over and over again! Argghhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Not a rant (yes I know you all need to sit down in a darkened room) but a concern.
The weather is wonderful. I have daffs with snowdrops, rhubarb with fruit leaves but.........

It’s only February so next week we could have a mini beastie eastie arrived and flick everything up.

Oh look me again.......
OH had a hospital appointment this morning for 11am. Got there via taxi. At 1105 nurse called him in with me in tow. The clinic had just been cancelled.
£38 in cab fares just to wait for another appointment with the cardiologist.

Ran out of grout with just 3 tiles left to do, had to go and buy another 2.5Kg bag for a desert spoon full.

Amazon--How to complain.
I eventually thought I'd give Twitter a try as I'd heard some companies closely watch Twitter feeds for complaints. They answered within minutes with a link for a "call back" service. Was called on landline in less than a minute. Rep sorted complaint and gave a £5 credit as goodwill. Now downloaded app on iPhone. Found it's got loads of options not on iMac app via browser.
My rant is the lack of support for those without smart phones. You don't have to have orange skin and bouffant hair to use Twitter.
