Getting out of work early today (happy dance there all by itself!) But managed to spend a hour in the sunshine and the garden with a cup of tea. Mostly watching the birds after I filled the feeders.
Also found that him indoors had escaped and had let loose with the strimmer so I don't have to worry about that pesky patch of grass.

At dawn chorus there were bouts of at least 15 calls at a time.

Why did no one tell me bees and washing lines are not compatible. Went to get laundry in and they had kindly left deposits on every one of hubby's nice white work shirts.

When I returned from comfort break I found my girls using decent compost to pot on weeds. When I told them not to they argued they weren't weeds they have flowers on. Even me telling them they are called chickweed they still argued.

And the reason I am happy......because on the whole it has been a very pleasant sunny day and got a fair bit done and I can laugh about the niggles

The look on my boss’s face when I told him I wasn’t going to accept his ‘offer’ of 60 hours overtime over the next 10 days because my baby seedlings need lots of TLC at this time of year.

Very happy today as OH has been pottering in the kitchen sorting out some of the smaller jobs he hadn't got round to doing when 'we' fitted the kitchen over 3years ago!!!

Still some of the more obvious bigger jobs to do, but hey ho...one day at a time eh?...getting there!

At last a few insects about! This big bee was on a rosemary bush.
Now all I have to do is tempt them into the polytunnel to pollinate strawberries.

I planted these 8 weeks and 4 days ago in the greenhouse border. Just couldn't wait any longer. They are Swift by name and nature! I can't wait to try them.
