Bob came home with a kenwood chef this afternoon. Its slightly younger than me! Built when things were made to last. It was being thrown out because it was making a noise. Bob took it apart, put it back together and its working perfectly. Just a couple of little spare parts & a very good clean and Ill be a cake making god
Made bread yesterday in the breadmaker and for the first time ever it was a failure. A brick! It didn't rise.
2 options: 1. The breadmaker was faulty.
2. It was some faulty yeast.
I went out and bought more yeast and bread flour. I put it on the timer to be ready this morning.
Yippee!!!!! The smell woke me up and it is perfect.
I have a large stack of seed catalogues on the coffee table waiting for the weekend, and a new bottle of violet and blackcurrent gin. I am planning on sitting down with a glass and a magic marker when the sun goes down. (16.06 Saturday.) Sadly 16.08 on Sunday!
