With a big cardboard box you can pretend to be a tortoise/snail, a jack in the box, a puppet show or a nutter walking round wearing a cardboard box.
Any of these make me happy.
Went down the garden to see where funny buzzing coming from.
Found it was neighbour using 2mm bit on hammer action in tiddly portable drill on top rail of fence panels. He was doing this so he could push in nails to hold on plastic bird spikes. Where hole not deep enough he was hammering on business end of a posidriv screwdriver using the handle to drive them in!
I told him that the spikes were countersunk for screws, a nail punch would have been better (could have lent him mine but I didn't want it ruined) and that hammer action was for masonry. Also I'd be pulling out some nails he'd left proud elsewhere on fence top as they were dangerous next time I'd pliers with me.
Buzzing moved to top of garden so maybe he's sorted those nails. I'll check tomorrow when it's light.
Honestly at the moment I thought getting happy wasn’t on the cards for me due to massive damage to my house from a leak and pending surgery
BUT- assembled (with spousal help) a large cloche we bought months ago at a boot sale for The princely sum if £4. I was assured all parts were present. I am so pleased they were and now I have a bit of protection for some lucky plants.
Now.....what to grow??
That the lovely man in the hardware shop that i bought two big bags of compost from agreed the deliver them for half dozen fresh eggs...what a nice man.
