That thread's so long ago, 7 years. Lovely to see people on here brought together through nothing but love of gardening.
As for me, I've never met anyone on this site. Collected the seed swap seeds though and seen the lovely handwritings and printouts so suspect there are humans behind the posts etc.
I'm not real though I'm an ethereal bat flying in here now again to create a ruckus then I'm off!
I've not met anyone either but as others have said, it's such a friendly place that you kinda feel at home as if you do actually know the people you talk to here. I haven't felt the same vibe from other sites I used to frequent tbh. I'd be happy to meet up with any of you (although that's only if VC promises no pointy stick! I haven't seen mention of that in a while - did it break? )
Pointy stick is still here, in waiting, for the next bit of nortiness.
Disappointingly, you're all being quite good at the moment (most of you anyway). That's not an invitation to be norty - just a sort of back-handed compliment.
Seeing that I’m now officially ‘pointy proof, I thought I’d add my 2p worth. Not met anyone but I’m not so sure I’d like to as sometimes imagination can be far more entertaining than real life.
For example I imagine-
VC as a vertically challenged lady in a frayed straw hat that sighs when confronted with an ‘expert’ who declares that you need acres of land to grow a radish in.
SP is a Celtic Eco Warrior who will, come ell or high water grow the ultimate blow your eyeballs out chilli variety.
Rary is a kind and genourous man who actually cares about others.
NS is the Matriarch of her extended family. She does her best and beyond to help them and others.
Is there anyone I’ve forgotten? Hint hint

Sparrow and I met up before we came here when we were on another forum, she donated some strawberries to me and gave me a tour of her allotment site and later she visited my site, we exchanged tomato plants and I gave her an aluminium table for her greenhouse I didn't need and a tour of our allotment site.

Ah lass, somehow I don't think you know what you would be letting yourself in for,but if we ever meet, I hope you have the money for the coffees, as I am always skint
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
See I’m on a roll now.
LD - the person everyone wants as a next door neighbor. Constantly wearing clothes with huge pockets to stash seeds and teabags.
Snoop - who occasionally sneaks out of the house in the very special leather shorts so she can stand on the hilltop and yodel her heart out.
Cad - walks a bit funny because he hasn’t oiled his clonkers for a while and his armour is going rusty.
GL - always wears a thick overcoat even when it’s 100 degrees in the shade as he doesn’t want people to see his gossamer fairy wings.

Well I was planning on telling you to budge up on the skint bench but I'll see what I can do.
I'm sure you lot are a bunch of big softies anyway.
