The only female presenter that I cannot stand is Carol Klein - I find her so annoying it detracts from everything she says. I simply can't hear what she's saying over the annoyingness that is in my face. Very few people affect me that way.

Alys, well I just love her. I think she's genuine in her love for plants and growing veg. I'll definitely be watching that series. I wish they made more programs with her.

I idolise Monty Don and would love every show he makes, no matter their quality lol The rest of the presenters are all a bit meh... but they don't annoy me, nor put me off

Thank you for sharing the link VC - I will make good use of that

Watched chapter 1 but found her a bit airy fairy, and don't understand why they need to put in the sound as if it was an old projector
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I like Beechgrove, looking forward to it starting again. I watch Gardener's World even though I don't like any of the presenters. But mainly I look out for new episodes of Dave's Allotment on Youtube. OK it's very amateurish but somehow very watchable.

Of the current weekly garden shows I do like Beechgrove and it's presenters particularly Jim McColl. I like gardeners world and presenters Monty Don, Adam Frost and Frances Tophill. I enjoyed Carol Klein's series on her own garden (forget the name) although I find quite a bit of her presenting on GW a bit over the top for my liking. Trying to talk while manically chuckling is a bit strange Not watched the edible garden yet but will give it a whirl.

I'll watch episode 1 later while I'm waiting for the coffee grinder to cool down ( chilli powder making day ).
I don't watch any gardening programs ( I probably should ), mostly because not enough about veg growing for my liking. And I can't stand Monty, Who's Carol K ?

Just googled carol K . Never seen her in anything.
Mind it's been over 10 years since I watched an episode of gw

Gardeners' Question Time on BBC Radio 4 is usually worth a listen - I usually have my radio with me when I'm pottering around.

I listen to gardeners question time when I’m walking the dog. Love Monty and also watch Beechgrove as they are closer to me so what they can grow might be possible for me too.

The Victorian Kitchen Garden is also available. I’ve missed the first few but hey ho.

Nothing wrong with amateurish if the content is good

The series is occasionally shown on one of the Sky channels - I recorded all of them the last time. Somehow it just seems incredibly soothing to listen to, when everything else is getting hectic
