Apart from imagining that I have a huge garden split into two, one with a massive greenhouse and numerous veg beds fenced off (but still easily accessible, with underground irrigation), and the other half for leisure all the year round, I ended up baking banana bread when it rained, as I was stuck indoors and there were a lot of bananas sat in the fruit bowl. Oh and also looking at all the cute dog and cat photos on this thread

Whilst the dogs are sleeping, I search the cheap online book sites for gardening books and test myself on whether I already have them or not, by roaming around the house looking for the books. This usually leads to spotting a book that I don't remember buying and reading it.
At the moment, its "How to grow food in wartime" by Doreen Wallace. Its supposed to be a friendly guide to novice gardeners who have just moved to the country to escape the bombing and need to obey orders to grow food.
The 2 novices, Mr and Mrs B, are advised by their busybody but knowledgeable neighbour "the Weatherbeaten Lady" or WL.
I reached the point where they have decided that keeping a pig is not for them!!

.... and on days like today, I leave work a bit early to beat the traffic, heading to the farm shop for more cardboard. The rain starts absolutely pouring down, heavens opened. Well... I figured I might as well get out in the rain and tell the ladies in the shop that I'm there for the cardboard (they don't usually work on weekends when I show up) and I still heard their laughter as I was heading back out into the rain to throw soaked through cardboard into my van. In fact, I heard them outside too LOL
