And of course, today was the day the intrepid village T'ai Chi class decided to have an open air exercise session followed by a picnic! We soon warmed up in the exercise bit but it was perishing during the picnic - even tried to rain a bit. Ah, the British at leisure!

Just come in from putting the horses and dogs to bed, had to wear a jumper and hooded coat to keep warm from the bitter wind. Not much of an indian summer!

Well it's deffo arrived here! Just been out with the dog and it's a fairly severe white frost and it's freezing outside. Not looking forward to seeing my dahlias at the allotment.

Did I hear a mention of a prize for the first frost sighting?

I think I would be happy with that. Thunderstorms yesterday evening and quite a lot of rain overnight!

Still - shan't need to water today.

It was not frosty at work last night, however it was down to 5 degrees. As one who wears shorts for practically the whole year its certainly getting a bit gnippy about the gnees.

I dont think we had a frost last night, but temps were low and it was a calm clear night again. Hardly making 6 degrees today - all my greenhouse peppers are now adorning the south facing windowsills.

                            Blumming freezing this morning...

Chickens didn't want to come out, even when I shook their food around and the dogs didn't like to walk on the "crunchy" grass!

Good Grief! and just as I am feeling the cold on the early(8 am) mornings and evenings(8pm)! Noticed that the car temp thingy said 22 degrees.
We are coming to the UK in another 3 weeks for our winter holiday 12/10 to 31/10 before going off to Thailand.
I am not looking forward to the cold.
