DIY laundry detergent

Hi All, I know this sounds weird but does anyone make their own laundry detergent? I'm interested in this for a variety of reasons but the instructions on the internet use mainly American ingredients which include Borax, which I'm not keen on using. Do any Grapes have a recipe they would be willing to share? : )

Thanks Veggie chicken. I would like to try the powdered version but Ive checked through the posts twice and cant seem to find the recipe for this- am I missing it???
