Time for a change - I need to remember warm sunshine today folks!!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Changed my avatar for a more 'seasonal' one - the last time we had snow here (I think 3 winters ago now)

I was going to go seasonal but decided I wanted a reminder of sunshine first!! I'll dig something more appropriate out over the weekend!!

I was in Estoril, near Lisbon. Went to the zoo on Saturday and didn't need my coat till late afternoon (apparently unusually warm for the time of year). It was a very pleasant 18 - 20 degrees

If you don't get on well with yer neighbours, run around the garden naked, screaming at the moon. If you do get on with your neighbours, run around THEIR garden naked!!!

Scarey - I'm going to the christmas market in Lille, staying at a campsite in Houplines? Hopefully just a short hop on the metro away?! Might need more than a coffee to thaw me out after a night in the van ...

Bummer, too far North for us, It'll take a good 6 hours from there. I'll send a "virtual" coffee for you, just let me know when you've arrived.

Enjoy the market too, there's usually a glass of mulled wine or two on one of the stalls, that should warm you up.

Ooohhh, I do enjoy a glass or three of mulled wine!! Hopefully (work and weather permitting) we'll be on the 6.30 ferry from Dover this evening - looking forward to the virtual coffee already

So have you been to the market in Lille Scarey?

Not Lille, but I've been to a couple of others. First one I ever went to, I was unprepared for the weather and the first thing I bought was a hat and gloves
Still, at least the crossing won't be like it was a couple of weeks ago (she says, hopefully)
We had quite a hard frost here last night so, here's hoping you keep warm. Have a great time.

Thanks Scarey, I'm looking forward to it! We went to Vienna last new year and like you, first thing we did was buy warmer hat and gloves, so hopefully they'll see me through this time as well!!
