I turned the heating off 2 days ago. It’s back on. The plan was to do some gardening. I’ve been making pom-poms.

If we are lucky we put our heating off at the end of June, then back on mid Augustit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornin n'alln'all
Heating still on here too. We have loads of holes/gaps in our wall insulation due to the building work we're doing and can't buy the stuff to get on and fill them due to lockdown
Parts of the house are like living in a wind tunnel
Still, the wood fire is lit too which is lovely.
Deffo an indoor day today...think I'll sow more seeds.
Got absolutely nowhere to put them once they become seedlings but it may become survival of the fittest again!
I have heard that a large garden centre which is closed is receiving online and telephone orders and once they receive online payment will give a collection time. Plants etc are then loaded into your boot without you getting out.
Good idea and may just prevent them from going under....but it's a pity it's too far away from us to happen to be passing by (non essential visit according to the police)Last edited by Nicos; 29-03-2020, 09:05 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Snaw! Two days ago I was sunbathing on my decking.
I'm now glad I left my plants on the bedroom windowsill as better leggy than dead.
Plans for today?.....I aint got any.
Strangely enough I am reading a fiction book involving the smallpox virus. The chain of events, including lockdown ,was exactly the same as what we are suffering now so Clive Cussler must have done some major research.
Its time to raid the freezer and see what meat I can rustle up for Sunday dinner. I have plenty of spuds but will deffo grow a few more of these staples this year.
Have a pleasant day folks and stay safe.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Diversify & prosper

Good morning all.
Dull and cold here.
No plans for today other than read and potter around.
Stay safe all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Afternoon, hope your all staying safe,a safe hug for those who need it,i consider us to be very lucky so far,i have several offers of go and fetcher's if i need them, youngest will not come near us,however we have a system of dump and leave, then wipe down,we are not on the extremely list, just the over 70's,i rang to see about his scan for friday gone, and was tolled it was being cancelled, and i was quite right to ring and ask first, she did sound a bit snotty,i put it down to the work load, she responded very happy, when i thanked her and the other NHS staff for what they are doing, what we cannot do one way,can be given in others.

Bright and sunny here. But due to get very cold from tomorrow on, with snow and loads more rain. Fortunately, our firewood delivery man has just dropped a load off with us. So we'll be all right for the rest of the season.
Better get a move on. Lots to do before tomorrow comes.
Have a good afternoon, everyone.
