I was just thinking the same about old garden tools-someone somewhere will be more than happy to take them off your hands!

Been a stunning day here. More pleasant than yesterday as we had a very light, but warm breeze. I have managed to mildly tan the other side of my body whilst reading in the garden. Didn't take long either
That'll do for now -I'll be working in the shade from now on.

I did manage to go through 3 boxes stored in the garage and reduce the contents to 2. Got to start somewhere eh?
I'm sure I'm not the only one sorting 'stuff'....the charity shops are going to be inundated when they reopen.

Managed to contact a lot of family and friends -so much so my OH is surprised I've not got lock-jaw

Just poured a nice GnT ...anyone fancy joining me?

Looks like we're in for a musical evening again with friends via the internet - should be fun.

    Keep safe peeps x

        • Good evening, not much Sun today but it was a bit warmer, though the overnight temperature was down at 4c, did some washing of floors this morning then some weeding, I actually wanted to get it he grass cut but had to wait till about 4 o clock for the grass to dry a bit, did get it cut along with some shrub material that hat I spread about the grass ad bit saves bringing out the shredder,I potted on some verbena and tomatoes and sowed some beans, if it stays dry tomorrow I will go over all the beds with a hoe to get them ready for sowing and planting, as I reckon I should be able to get some seeds in, in a couple of weeks, keep safe, keep you distance and keep happy

          • Mornin n'alln'all
            Another lovely day forecast!
Apart from making some jelly bunnies I'm hoping I can spend the rest of the day pottering in the garden.

I made over 100 felt easter decorations with chocolate eggs which I can't sell because of lockdown so I've decided to take out all the chocolate eggs and give them to the teenage lad next door. I'm sure he'll cope

Time for a brew methinks .....

                  • Morning all. At present I am hiding in the (cool) front room as OH has decided she needed to light the woodburner in the back room. She's a cold customer that one.

Its bright out and quite mild methinks. I don't intend vegetating indoors so will spend some time in the garden. There's always summat to do in the garden.

I'll get the washing done and hung out, put summat in the oven for lunch, sow some butternut squash and I might even cut the grass!

I have just put up a bird box and may re-site it, not sure yet?

Take care all and stay safe.

                    • Morning all.

Quick drop in to say hello. Looks like the weather will be variable today. Hope it's sunny at lunchtime as would rather eat out than in. Table covered in stuff...

That is a lot of chocolate. You're a stronger-willed woman than me. Are you giving it away to avoid temptation? Could you freeze it for later consumption?

Catch you all later. Oranges to slice for pud.

                      Have a good one, all.

                        • Digging up more tree suckers. It’s hot work but I need the space and weed killer seems to act as a fertiliser to them.

I’ve ordered some willow trellis and melon seeds. I thought I had melon seeds but when I looked at the packet I must have used them last year when I left everything too late. I’ve also ordered some turf to be delivered next Thursday. That’ll give me the kick up the b*m to prepare the ground.

I also bought a watering system last year but never set it up. I now realise I need a hose splitter and another hose. Fortunately our local motor parts shop (run by a friend) is also a DIY shop, so he’s ordered one in for me together with a spare gardening fork. I think the one I’m using might break and I’m no good at replacing handles. And I thought being in lockdown would save me money. Petrol costs are being replaced by diy expenses.

Right, tea break over, back on your heads.

                            • Good afternoon..
Beautiful day and we are in the garden again.
Did my walk up and down our back lane several times.
My garden was never do tidy and organised.
                              Enjoy the good weather.

You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
