  • Mornings! and another lovely sunny one it is

Yesterday my neighbour, who must be getting bored kindly trimmed my side of the overgrown conifer hedge, as well as his own - so I seem to have got another 3 ft of garden Downside is doing something with the trimmings til the council dump reopens... I think I'll pile them up at the end until they're dry enough to burn. So that's my job for today....

Have a good'un and stay safe!

      • Morning another lovely day but windy...no idea how warm it is as I haven’t been out yet.
Thelma, we have a very tall leylandii hedge at the bottom of our garden which the neighbour on the other side doesn’t want taken down so we take a few feet off every year, this year however Mr and Mrs Sparrow appear to be nesting in it...goodness knows what height it’s going to be by the time they fledge!!
Hope you all enjoy your day! x

Can't seem to get motivated this morning.
No idea why -it's warm outside and perfect for getting on with the gardening.
          Might sow some seeds

          See ya later peeps.

          • Got up in a good mood after a good night's sleep (mozzie net rather improved matters) and rather enjoyed the sight of the pair of jolly ducks that have returned and enjoying life in the lake that was field two of my veg patch. I presume they're feasting on the toadlets that will have hatched. Won't tell anyone in the village as the hunters will be down. These ducks are decidedly plump and juicy looking!

Then got embroiled in my mum's rising distrust of hospital staff. Not a lot to be done about that except try and keep the peace.

And now is now. Mr Snoop is washing up, the range is going (it's cold and damp) and I'm about to make some buns. Life could be worse.

Catch you later. Have a good day meanwhile.

            • Good morning all.
It's another lovely sunny day but as we are on the coast we have a cool easterly breeze,
Another day in the garden and a walk 8n the back lane .
              Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • Mornin all. Done my chores for today i.e. washing, moving wood for fire and dishes. Birds fed and dog walked.

I think I might have a trip to the allotment. I'm not going to tell you what I will be doing because invariably I get waylaid and finish up doing summat completely different.

Have a good day folks and look after yourself and others.

                • Morning All. I'm procrastinating this morning. I need to go out and finish putting the plastic shed together today but the roof trusses resemble a huge Meccano set and although I know I'l be able to do it, it's just that I'm dreading it as there are so many parts and every one of them has stupid 'identification' (ha!) numbers faintly stamped into the plastic and metal parts. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs their head examined, they are hardly visable.

Anyway, wish me luck, I feel like I'm in a mood already.

Have a good one everybody! x

                      • Afternoon!
It's turned out to be a lovely day
Warm but with a pleasant breeze -perfect for mowing the lawns.
I've only done the 3 front lawns but that's enough for now-it only took an hour but I'm exhausted!

                        • Good afternoon folks a lovely sunny day again though I am having a lazy day and just messing about a bit, though I am wondering if micromesh would do as a mozzie net after reading Snoops post, I always get up in a good mood, but we are sitting in the conservatory having a coffee and looking out at the trees they are all coming out of hybernation, in the space of 5 days the rowan and hawthorn have come into full leaf and now the buds on the sycamore trees are starting to open up, right coffee break finished out to hide for a time and ponder on the question, "Why can't women stay as pleasant as men"
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                          • Beautiful day but a might windy. Just perfect for laying turf. I’ve managed 3 out of 17 so far and I’m bushed. Having a cuppa before I do the next 3.

I was late up this morning as I, stupidly, stayed up to watch The Deer Hunter which I’d never seen. The dogs aren’t used to pottering about in the garden every day and didn’t wake me up as they usually do. It seems to tire them out more than a walk.
