    • ^I must have missed a vital post: how comes your floor keeps coming up? That must be so frustrating.

Plus, you'll love the dog. You won't be able not to. I didn't want a dog originally. Now we have three. I can't remember what life was like before them.

Not sure what to say about the telly. Commiserations. Can you get another in time? Could you survive without it? Sorry.

It's not raining the sun is trying to come out and it's calm and quite mild...….a lovely change for the better.
I'm off into town later, to collect the meat from the butchers and get some more cake covers from £land hahaha last of the big spenders I am...
          Have a good'un

We had all that noisy sploshy stuff last night....but at least we have sunshine now!
Captn...hope you get a TV sorted today. Appliances direct deliver the next day( I checked for you) so it's not too late. Thing is, a TV tends to be something you want to see in the flesh before buying isn't it?

I missed the thing about why the floor needed ripping up too!
            Do explain!

More stuff to do in the lounge. Think I might do painting again today. (Have to do things which don't put me under OH 's feet) there's a lovely old door to strip of wallpaper, fill then repaint.....depends on what plans he has today!
            Late start today!
I officially have everything done in preparation for Xmas. Never been ready like this before!
We hung the fresh holly and mistletoe yesterday and it's transformed the place!

            • Morning, all.

Congrats on your readiness, Nicos. We are as we were here. Not sure why. The 25th is the only public holiday, maybe that's why. Doubtless I'll be able to persuade Mr Snoop to put up some fairy lights. And we do actually have a Christmas pud.

Bright blue all day today, apparently. So that will be good. Though I'll only see a bit of it as I'm stuck at the computer all day. Bah!

              Have a lovely day, everyone.

              • Good morning all.
                Bright and dry here.
Looking after my grandson for a few hours this morning.
Will probably walk to the local shops.
                Last minute domestics this afternoon.
                Busy day.
                Have a good one.

You will find yourself a partner,

                • Happy Monday Blue and sunshiny here. Warm enough to open the GHs where all sorts of seedlings are poking their heads up knowing that the days are lengthening. Clever things, seeds.

Just want to add, I'm ready for Christmas too When is it?

                    • Oooh that soon!!
The Yellow sticker gang, at their regular Sunday meeting, were discussing the festive closing times at various stores - especially Morries.
I predict a sprout giveaway in Asda, like last year.

                      • Shame you can't post some here. Mr Snoop went on a mission for sprouts (mine are smaller than marbles) and came home with all of eight. He was very upset.

                        • L1DL are selling their festive veg for 15p a bag - spuds, carrots, red cabbage, parsnips, sprouts.........maybe more. Makes you wonder about trying to grow some of these - especially as I have problems growing any of them well.

                          • A1di have the same offer on, I only bought a bag of carrots to use for for cakes. Surprisingly this year I've got decent sprouts and
parsnips, not forked or marble sized. It must be a first

                            • They have a price war on!!
Lidl were 29p, then Aldi came in at 19p, so Lidl reduced theirs to 15 and Aldi have done the same. They're like a pair of kids!!
My brother was in Asbo today, every checkout open and queues 5 deep at each one. the checkout guy was complaining about the store opening on Boxing Day. "The Germans have got it right - they're closed".
Wonder whether he'll be moving to another job soon!!

                              • Evening, we arose to thick fog, then it started raining, not looking good for our planned walk on the beach. However when we got to St.Andrews and met with our daughter(whose Birthday it is) and her family, the sun came out and we enjoyed a lovely walk on the sand followed by lunch in a posh golf club, super day out.
