Hopefully more diy for me today - and weeding of a couple of flower beds....back permitting.
Either way I seem to have rather a lot of hens eggs so I need to do something with those.
Know what you mean about a crisp apple Snoop ... I made a fruit salad last night and set aside my last apple for another day.

Morning everybody,

Hoping for a nice sunny day here. My day will consist of pricking out some annuals and potting on some veggies. Followed by pottering and pootling about.

Rary I love the texture of pinhead oats I've eaten todays with apple, sultanas and cinnamon, pinhead takes longer to cook than oats so i cook it in a double boiler enough for a few days and reheated when I need it.

There are 2 things that put me off pinhead oats Bren, dearer to buy and more expensive to cook,l

Good afternoon, a bright but blustery day today, I have been doing a bit of tidying up and some small repairs, one of the repairs was having to tighten up a securing sheath for a cold frame was wondering how I could do that, as silicon sealant wouldn't hold it so went back to the old way of packing screw holes so a bit of string and a couple of minutes and it was sorted I also mixed some soil, course sand and compost and filled 3 baskets, now as OH is making the tea I need to inspect the inside of the eyelids

Good evening, very quiet on the Vine tonight hope this isn't what it's going to be all the time, I have tried the other site but much prefer this one, it really is time that someone got their finger out, as things are nationally I can understand there may be problems getting things sorted, but an explanation would be nice to have and also its time someone was taking responsibly for the Vine

Been woken by a tomcat serenading Hibou

He's a sweet thing living about 1km away, semi feral but friendly.

He needs to watch out though cos lovable Hibou sent the last too friendly tomcat away leaving a huge pile of his fur on our lawn
And nope -he didn't come back again!

Dawn chorus and lightly falling rain -the other lovely sounds of an early start to the day

Bacon butty with drippy egg on home made bread for breakfast today. Yummy yum! - can't wait!
Think I'll start with a brew for now though.

Butter wouldn't melt rary -you should see her now , curled up purring her little head off -Just next to her treat draw -one ear fixed of the drawer just in case a treat magically jumps out.

Morning, everyone.

Bright and hot here. And that's just the weather!

Coffee has just landed on my desk. Mr Snoop is eating some ghastly biscuits. The worst rich tea type you could imagine. I'm refusing to eat any of them. I don't suppose he's sorry about that, as it just means more for him. But I'm not unhappy either as it gives me an excuse to make buns. The plan is I'll make a job lot and freeze them in rationed portions. Let's hope this is a plan I can stick to!

Got some gardening to do. It's absolutely sweltering though. Temperatures due to tumble again in a week's time. I was going to direct sow my squash and melons, but looks like I'd better wait. And it's too hot today to sow lettuce... Wish the weather would make up it's mind. Oh, and it's due to rain again in a week's time. Quite a bit. Let's see if that's a plan the weatherpeople can stick to.

Good morning a lovely bright morning just now but some clouds coming near, the greenhouse was down at 2c overnight fortunately everything was covered and outside the cabbage and lettuce in the enviromesh tunnel look OK and as I cover the potatoes with polycarbonate tunnels they are fine also, just going to get ready to listen to the minister with his Sunday morning service, enjoy your day, keep safe and your distance but most of all keep happy
