    • Afternoon n'all.
Am back from food shopping -most things are unpacked and sprayed with dettol or washed in soapy water. Feels good to have a decent stock in for the next couple of weeks.
its been lovely and warm here too -be nice to have a few more days like this now we've had all that rain.

        • ^ Thanks, Rary. In theory, I've replied. Hope you got my message.

Edited to say: Wowee, Rary! I'm positively jealous. According to those little orange bars below your avatar, you are currently "a glorious beacon of light".

The daisies and dandelions are reaching for the sky and I just don't know when I will get the chance to mow them, it does look pretty and the Bees are happy....Mother Nature is romping away and I am still pottering and pootling and pricking out!!!! Grrrrr lol

                    Definitely a meadow peanut.
I was watching a pair of gold finches the other day feeding on dandelions. Worth keeping for that alone , love to see bees and insects on what tend to be known as weeds.

Oh my goodness! I watched a Goldfinch pluck up a dandelion clock, stand on the geen bit (calyx?) and pluck out each seed head and eat the teeny seed, it was lovely to see. That's it, I shall only mow a path through and let the rest stay, at least for a while. Thank you Containergardener.

As the tub is going to be used for growing peas I have put the newspapers in to help hold moisture and the stuff that's printed in them will save some manure I really don't know how or if it will work but if you don't try you don't know
