Good afternoon, again coffee break just now, then I will be finishing of preparing a tub for growing peas, I started with a thin layer of compost then scrunched up 5 newspapers which I have now soaked with a seaweed solution and covered with another layer of compost I think I will put in more scrunched up newspaper then top up by emptying all the tubs and baskets that I need to clean out, right break over time to get back out and Snoop I have tried sending you a message to find out what the wee speach box to the right of avitar is forit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

^ Thanks, Rary. In theory, I've replied. Hope you got my message.
Edited to say: Wowee, Rary! I'm positively jealous. According to those little orange bars below your avatar, you are currently "a glorious beacon of light".Last edited by Snoop Puss; 06-05-2020, 03:20 PM.

I was watching a pair of gold finches the other day feeding on dandelions. Worth keeping for that alone , love to see bees and insects on what tend to be known as weeds.Northern England.

Oh my goodness! I watched a Goldfinch pluck up a dandelion clock, stand on the geen bit (calyx?) and pluck out each seed head and eat the teeny seed, it was lovely to see. That's it, I shall only mow a path through and let the rest stay, at least for a while. Thank you Containergardener.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Well I have done most things , yet to do pricking out/potting on though. Maybe that will be tomorrow now.

As the tub is going to be used for growing peas I have put the newspapers in to help hold moisture and the stuff that's printed in them will save some manure I really don't know how or if it will work but if you don't try you don't knowit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
