Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Bramble. Hope you have a lovely day.
Meanwhile, a grey and chilly day here. Went off to hospital for appointment this morning, only to discover that the radiography people had done an X-ray rather than a CAT scan. Start again. Consultant massively apologetic. While having a coffee in a bar beforehand, read that there are the grand sum of 3,800 people on the waiting lists for operations for more than six months in Aragon. It's regarded as a scandal, though the population is only 1.3 million. 272 for ear, nose and throat ops. I'm surprised it's so few, to be honest.
As for the brandy, Can the Man, it was a supermarket own-brand. Not bad and not the cheapest, but we don't drink it that much. It's for the builder's lads, as they have a small shot in a black coffee at 9 am. On the days they're working, that is. It's traditional here and they have been up for quite a while beforehand.
Back to work now for me. Hope you're all having lovely days. Glad to hear about Mrs Rary, Rary. And glad you're up and about, Captncrackoff.

Congratulations bramble, remember after Mr. brambles medal presentation you both are welcome to pop in for a drink
After 55 years with the same woman he deserves a medal
And the drink is free, but please don't tell anyoneLast edited by rary; 26-12-2019, 03:22 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good afternoon, 25 past 3 and still light, the days must be getting longer and before any chicken clucks in I am referring to the daylight, was out planting the daff bulbs earlier and it seems I have underestimated the quantity of bulbs I got there must be 120 and it was also a lot colder than I thought, my hands were freezing, OH shouted me in for a hot plate of soup and it seemed to take ages for my hands to heat up, after lunch OH started watching some TV programmes so I have now watched the end of Call the Midwife 3 times and heard the end of Gavin & Tracy twice I was sitting reading as I don't like that programme, she staid awake all day yesterday but today she is falling asleep when she sits down and relaxes, though I have told her it's because of the rubbishy programmes she was trying to watch after all as I pointed out to her, I never fall asleep during Gardeners World or Beech Grove garden, after telling her that I retreated to the greenhouseit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Good evening all.
Thank you all for the many congratulations.
Yes Rary, you're right, he does deserve a medal, but so do I.
We had a lively day with family and now waiting for the last few to come in for dinner.
Looking forward to getting back to normal.
Have a good evening all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Hi all, firstly happy anniversary to the Brambles, I'll raise a glass to you later. Just back from staying over at our daughters in Perth, nice family time and wandering son was seen over the t'internet too. Santa must have thought I'd been good last year, I did really well, nothing for the garden or for fishing, but then he knows I already have all I need...…………………..at least twice, peaceful night to all before the mayhem of Hogmanay kicks in.

I see the old yin has changed her avetar yet again, evedently having difficulty getting one that truly reflects her as she gets older or possibly it's just a woman thing, change their appearance as often as they change their mindffLast edited by rary; 26-12-2019, 07:21 PM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Thank you all.
We had a lovely day with the family.
But, we ended up cooking the dinner while they all sat around chatting.
That's family I guess but it was lovely having everyone together.
Good night all.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

^ I hope they at least did the washing-up, Bramble.
Anyway, ten to eight here and the sky is starting to change colour. Hard frost out there. The dogs have been out for a run-around but are now back fast asleep, tucked up in their beds. And I'd be in mine if I were sensible. But my clients are back at work, so I'd better be too.
Have a good day, everyone. Catch you all later.
