      • Mornings!
Cloudy, dark and a mild 9C but it's forecast to brighten up later, and get colder with the clearer skies.
Nothing on the must do list right now, so we'll see....

        Have a good'un

Just fancied marmite on toast for breakfast. Think we may have had the very last scrapings from the jar
Must put it on my shopping list for the next trip over! (This one has lasted about 5yrs!)
I'm in hiding today -keeping out of the way of the electrician and OH whilst they work.
I do need to go and collect the new router at some point today though....

              • Starting to get a bit fed up of all this fog. Another miserable, perishing cold day. A couple more at least to go. Then a brief respite of a day or two before it apparently starts up again.

Took the dogs out yesterday to visit the local spring that never runs dry, only to find it dry. This is a total shocker, as the spring is renowned as being the only one in the region never, ever to run dry. I had hoped the autumn rains would have replenished the water supplies, but evidently not. Rather scary. Haven't been to look in our well, as I'm hoping for decent spring rains and it's pointless getting all het up about it being dry now. Still, veg patch plans are being cut back, again.

And the builder has let us down big time.

Ah well. When I get used to the new situation, when the sun starts to shine again and I'm over my cold, my mood will improve.

It's a lovely clear sunny morning but a cold one.
Making a batch of soup this morning and maybe a walk later.
                  Have a good day all.

Yes I can understand a jar lasting 5yrs. if it was good to eat it would only last at the most

                    • Good afternoon, a cold day with heavy showers today, went out a walk this morning and you felt the temperature drop as the showers came on, OH still not feeling to good and all ways feeling so tired, so didn't want to go out, though I did go and collect 9bags of leaves now just sitting around with nothing to do as its too wet to do any gardening might go to the greenhouse after but at the moment I will need to go and see what I will make for our tea

all depends on size of said jar,

                        • Evening all. Small humphs out with OH again, swimming with friends, should be back soon. Good session in the garden today, determined not to have 2 foot high weeds like I did last year in spring and summer!

Dog has been out with me, running off into the field lots. Had to call him back a few times as couldn't see where he'd gone! He's worn himself out, currently snoozing on my lap. He's too long for a 2 seater sofa when he stretches out, but in his head he's a tiny dog who can fit on a six year olds lap

Massive tidy up this evening, house an absolute tip with all of us at home over the holidays, and children making Lego, doing crafts, and creating dens everywhere.

Better make a start before OH gets back, have a good evening all.
                          Another happy Nutter...

                          • Good evening all.
It really was a beautiful day here.
Did some tidying, some laundry and made a batch of soup.
After lunch went for a long walk.
Good to get out of the house for a while.

Rary, hope your wife is on the road to recovery soon.

                            • Thanks bramble and I also hope she recovers soon, all this housework and cooking is getting a bit much, and she has an uncanny ability to know what I haven't washed, dusted, polished, I made a mistake of putting a TV into the bedroom for her 3 weeks ago and I am sure she has a cctv camera tuned into it, but I can't find the camera

                              • Look after yourself rary....somethings really can wait...honestly

Had a good day - collected the new router-had to return the old one and collect it from a shop 16 miles away! And it's now up and running

My new (second hand) phone is also up and running too.

The electrician has finished Stage 1 of the work so we can now get on with insulating the wall with hemp and lime.

Have to say though that I'm exhausted. Yesterday I nipped out to buy electrical 'stuff' and after about 30 mins of wandering around various shops I suddenly realised my cardi was on inside out!!! Yup -seams and labels most definitely on show!
Then today...could I find said cardi... nope....so I put another one on instead...then after a few minutes of being in the car I realised there was something very odd....I'd put the second cardi ontop of the one I had been looking for

                                Oh dear Early night methinks?
