Nope...not just getting up after a long lie in

Went out early to a massive shop near the coast to get more specialist paint and electrical stuff.
It just so happens to be near Ikea so yup...we had lunch there
Got a few other replacement things too for the gites.
Then onto a craft shop so I can start making Easter decorations for my stall at a Fair in early March.
No idea when I'll get a chance to make them but I was also volunteered to hold an Easter crafting session for children then too

We got back just in time for the electrician who didn't turn up the other day...who will also return tomorrow.

Snadge...good news about Amber ...you must have felt dreadful on the way to the vets xxxx glad she has a reprieve .

Snoop...oh good grief what an experience! What are the locals saying....first time ever it's been this bad? They too must have had loads of damage xx

As the others so lottie -keep warm! HWB or a soak in the bath should help too if you really feel chilled to the bone.

      • Evening all. Well Sore back or not it was off to the plot today armed with everything I needed to sort out my greenhouse. One of my pals managed to come up with an extra astricle so in the absence of panes of glass 29½" long, I was able to insert some standard 2ft x 2ft panes and cut a couple of slices off a full pane to fill the gap. Happy bunny

you just sent me scurrying to Google and I'm horrified and ermhh embarassed. Perchancity perhaps I was meaning astragal but in any event I intended to convey I'd acquired an extra aluminium upright. I'm saying nowt more.

            • I couldn't find an "astricle" on goggle either. You could have said it was a local word and bluffed your way out. I wouldn't have been any the wiser.

                          • Morning all. I feel like planting seeds but I have to go out in half and hour. Perhaps this evening.

Yesterday I went to pick a friend up from the railway station and left early to do a bit of shopping first. Stuff I can't get locally. I saw a TV that was ideal for my bedroom. After waiting for nearly half an hour at the Customer Service desk, it turned out that the person supposed to deal with that department was in a meeting. So someone else was asked to help. It turned out that the TV was out of stock but more would be in today. I explained that it is a long way to drive for one item so it was suggested that I order it online and get it delivered. It turns out that the store had discontinued this service last July. I can get it elsewhere but at a much greater price.

                            Hmmph!

                            • Good evening, have been quite busy today, started with a bit of plumbing at my sons he also had an electrician in to do some work, who unfortunately didn't have his van where he normally has all his spares with him, he needed a couple of switches so I had to head to a well known store to get them, once back I finished the plumbing then headed home to collect OH who wanted to do a bit of shopping, though it didn't take to long and only one shop, as she didn't want to tier herself, now I am getting, ready to go out to a Burns supper, though I will be taking my phone with me, enjoy you night and keep safe
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
