Good afternoon, cold and damp again today, at our sons as he and DiL are at a funeral, was out with his dog earlier and it felt cold enough for snow, hope not it looks fine on Christmas cards but not so good to move about in and I am out again tonight at an other Burns Supper, and before you think anything it's the only time I am out at night without OH and again I will have my phone with me, anyway I think she is quite happy that I am out, she gets to watch whatever she wants on TV, come to think of it she gets to watch whatever she wants anyway I think I will nip down the house and hide the remote, that way she will get to do some tidying up while hunting for it, she is beginning to feel a lot better as I am now being told this needs tided that needs dusted they need put past, so while hunting for the controller she could do all the things she has noted, plus it keeps her active, so when you think on it, I would be doing her a favour just shows how considerate I am

evening all,
Well Saturday has come and almost gone and apart from doing the grocery shopping I've had a day off. Yes done nowt which totally isn't me but I wasn't on for the 26 mile each way trip to my plot and I'm well on with things at home. I'm glad to say we still haven't had any real snow and as the days lengthen, so the winter shortens

Evening all, I was a bit like AP today, brought the wife grocery shopping also got conned into going in 2 departments stores to get a new duvet cover and to get 2 new shower mats. Then go to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly prescription, then home, get in the turf, light the fire, and settle in for the evening, my niece and her husband and 2 daughters are due to call over to see the patient.

No, Dwynwen was a girlie, the patron saint of lovers and sick animals in Wales. Not sure why she had those two.

Mornings!
More misty, grey, damp stuff this morning, Mollycat turned round and came back in. Can't say I blame her. Although it isn't cold - she doesn't really like getting her feet wet, diva that she is...
Son and his partner here for lunch, it was her birthday this week, so Prosecco and cake for her another try to resist day - somehow I don't think that'll work again
Have a good'un

Enjoy your lunch Thelma - cake and fizz?...mmmmm!
Not quite sure what I'm doing today but am having a break from sanding down.
I really fancy digging out my seeds and going through them. I think I've left them in about 3 different places"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

Morning all. Got a long list of jobs to do today but dropping in here first. OK, so I'm procrastinating, but more fun catching up with mates than dealing with all the chores.
Mr Snoop has just made coffee and is wafting the range back into life. Dogs are peaceful and snow on the roof is drip, drip, dripping. Cabbages and some of the low-lying caulis are still under snow, but I'm guessing they'll be OK. The romanescos and green caulis will come to naught, I fear, as they were very tall and the leaves have all flattened to the ground. But worse things happen at sea.
So, on with the show. Have a good day everyone.

Good evening all.
It was quite a nice day here.
Sowed more sweet peas.
The first lot have germinated so quickly.
Hope to get them through the next week as the forecast is for very cold weather.
Its 16.45 right now and the sky is still bright and sunny.
All looking positive.
Have a good evening all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Evening !!
I've been yellow stickering quite successfully today.
However, the highlight was the toy pig on the odds and ends remaindered shelf. A pig that went Oink oink when you squeezed it. Needless to say, I had to keep squeezing it because it made me laugh. I was in the middle of a big Oink when a lady came around the end of the aisle, gave me one of those snooty looks (maybe she thought I was oinking and not the pig) and hurried past.
Another couple of Oinks later and a kindred spirit aka Nutter arrived and we shared the Oinking and giggling. Like a pair of outsize kids. In fact, I think she was worse than me because she'd wait for someone to trundle past and give a big Oink.
I would have bought the pig but it wasn't reduced and paying full price on a Sunday is against my principles.
Hope your days have been full of Oinks too.

Evening all, it was relatively mild in Kildare today, we had some rain around 11 and then it picked up. I did a bit of tidying in the yard, then ventured into the poly tunnel, pulled out some weeds and some dead lettuce, planted out some replacement lettuce from modules. Then took a leap of faith, I have planted out some onions in an outdoor raised bed, I just hope they will grow. There was about 30, cant remember the variety, but they grew great from seed. I picked some more of my thinned carrots for dinner, and they were beautiful.
I also tried something I read about but never did before, I divided 2 strawberry plants into 4 with a spade.
My cabbage and brussel sprouts seeds are growing nicely they are about 3/4” tall in modules. The cabbage plants I grew previously and have been transplanted into an indoor raised bed are still looking healthy but not really getting any bigger.
I watered everything in the poly tunnel.
